Trump met with Russian ambassador during campaign!

"I have nothing to do with Russia — haven't made a phone call to Russia in years, don't speak to people from Russia," President Trump said during a press conference on Feb. 16.

But it seems President Trump did meet the Russian ambassador during the campaign.

On Tuesday, AmericaBlog pointed out that both Newsmax and The Wall Street Journal reported in May 2016 that then-candidate Trump met with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.

We don't know what they talked about or even how long they spent together. But The Wall Street Journal said Trump "warmly greeted" Kislyak.

Trump and Kislyak reportedly met during a VIP reception in April for an event Trump gave a speech at. The Wall Street Journal reported three other foreign ambassadors attended the reception.

It's not illegal or problematic for the two to greet one another or even hold a conversation. But this is another instance of the White House not disclosing contacts between Trump or his campaign members and Russian officials.

As recently as Sunday, the White House said Trump didn't have any contact with Russia.

According to a pool report, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, "The big point here is the president himself knows what his involvement was, and that's zero."

A White House spokeswoman told The Huffington Post Tuesday that Trump was at the reception for "about five minutes." She said they don't remember "who he may have shaken hands with at the reception .... To state a 'meeting' took place is disingenuous and extremely misleading."

Now you really have to wonder if the excuse to bug Trumps office, and using his ties to Russia agents the reason, you have to ask yourself what defines a Russian Agent visiting Trump’s offices, a Russian delivery boy, a janitor, an employee that happens to be Russian? I guess we are just going to have to rely on their reliable sources, right?

WHEN ARE OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS GOING TO GET BACK  TO HELPING MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?

But according to the Progressive Left there are no facts backing President Trump’s accusations, right? Then Later in the morning yesterday we saw the Dems come out and tell us that they were bugging Russian agents who were meeting with Trump campaign members, and then hiding behind the term reliable sources, and 17 security agencies…again I say 17?? Are we supposed to believe, after watching the last 8 years of the Obama administration, the IRS spying on conservative nonprofits, the unconstitutional ‘Fast and Furious’ gun running scheme to drug cartels, the video that caused the deaths of 4 American citizens in Benghazi, and then the intel in Fergusson Missouri when the all 17 agencies must have agreed that the police officer was guilty of murder before the facts actually revealed he wasn’t?

Here’s the point folks, we have an outsider nonpolitician who is going to be controlling and protecting America’s purse strings, and making sure the money goes to the oversight and safety of the American people and the mandate he campaigned on of making America first. Trump will not fund the side show special interests who have been robbing our Social Security and Medicare that we pay for out of our own pocket and not an entitlement, Trump will not support unvetted illegal immigrants and refugees instead of building back up our military, Trump will not 'unconstitutionally' pay ransom to a terrorist country in the dark of the night, and in cash, will not be running guns to Mexican drug cartels, or accidently supplying $400 Million dollars worth of weapons to ISIS, Trump will not allow the State Department to 'not' have and inspector General appointed to the State Department when Hillary conveniently lost or misplaced the $6 Billion dollars that happen to disappear when ISIS began it's reign of terror, and Trump will not make Americans pay a penalty if they can't afford to pay for insurance!    

With all the side shows that are going on, you have to notice one thing, and if you sit back you can hear the silence, and the silence is deafening! What is that you have to be asking yourself, right? It’s a President that is doing his job! It’s a President who is rolling out the repeal and replacement of the devastating death spiral known as Obamacare, and a President, without the help of the ‘Paid to Report’ Media who is not doing their job by not informing the public, that there are 3 different portions that will be released. The ‘Agenda Journalists,’ and bipartisan opposition are so busy criticizing what’s not in the first portion release that he promised are all looking pretty stupid, because they’re covered in one of the two remaining portions that are going to be released!

Oh, they also failed to mention that President Trump said that this is all 'negotiable' and willing to make the necessary changes to make it right! Did Obama ever do that for Obamacare, or did they just shove it down the throats of every American using the 'nuclear option' without one vote on the Republican side! Trump is working to make America great again, and if the division being created by outside interests, like George Soros, continue, then it will never happen! It's time for all Americans, no matter what your political beliefs, to give this nonpolitician outsider that used the two party system legally to break the glass ceiling of the political elites and get his mandate inside the impenetrable façade of the powers to be, then we should be supporting his efforts, no matter how much you don't agree, or even like him!   

Now let’s finish my rantings off with the reporting on the unforeseen Signs that the Russian media is turning on President Donald Trump, and I assume you can add Iran, the Chinese, and the rest of the incentivized power grabbing foreign enemies and supposed ally’s that were created by the power vacuum that Obama’s feckless ‘Red Line’ foreign policies, and unenforced consequences, that caused the deaths of hundreds of thousand innocent men, women, and children in Syria!

With Trump, and his campaign promises, America is building its military back up to the levels of the stance and status we had prior to Obama, and that’s why the worlds ‘Agenda Journalists’ are now joining in on the ‘Gang Bang’ of the outsider pro-American Trump Presidency! President Trump is just enforcing the laws that made America great in the first place while restoring the ideals and morals that our rule of law affords every legal American citizen! If you choose to break those laws, which Obama looked the other way and encouraged people to do, like he did in the last election to illegal immigrants and refugees to vote, then you will be considered breaking the law, and no matter who you are, or what your position and status is in your individual circles, you will go down! 

You have to remember that Obama fired or imposed early retirement to some 197 loyal American military leaders who weren’t going to agree to everything that Obama intended to do to harm America’s position and status in the world! He replaced them with ‘Yes’ men, just like he had set in place with the DOJ, FBI, CIA, and the rest of those other 17 agencies that we all should be wondering about. There used to be a time when anything that came out of the mouths of our intel was like the word of God being etched in stone, but not so much today, and this Presidency that started with deception and lies from the beginning by hiding from the public Obama’s unqualified citizenship status to be President of the United States!

COINTELPRO Again?     Obama’s Alinsky and Cloward and Piven strategy for Socialism?

From John Adams' Alien and Sedition Acts to the Cold War and Joseph McCarthy, civil liberties and national security have had a delicate and troubled relationship in American history. Notorious among these is the case of the domestic surveillance program run by the FBI between 1956 and 1971 (after the censure of Joseph McCarthy by the Senate) under the name COINTELPRO (counterintelligence program). COINTELPRO was a secret FBI program designed to monitor and "neutralize" domestic groups deemed by the FBI to be a danger to national security. Such groups included anti-war groups and civil rights groups and individuals like Martin Luther King, Jr. and even Eleanor Roosevelt.

Some fear that something like COINTELPRO may again be at hand. There are undercover agents infiltrating peaceful protests in America. Pretending to be political activists, local law enforcement officials are monitoring the activities of advocacy and protest groups based on what one judge calls those organizations’ "political philosophies and conduct protected under the First Amendment." The tactic has come about as a result of the relaxation of guidelines first put into place after the COINTELPRO scandal investigation. Learn more about the history and the new guidelines below.

   •J. Edgar Hoover and Dissent:

FBI director Hoover had long placed the domestic battle against Communism in the forefront of the FBI's concerns. How he defined the threat illustrates the philosophy behind the COINTELPRO and previous surveillance programs. Below is an excerpt of Hoover's 1958 publication MASTERS OF DECEIT: THE STORY OF COMMUNISM IN AMERICA AND HOW TO FIGHT IT:

Thus, the Party, through its specialized and immediate demands, is able to gain access into various groups and create favorable working conditions for future revolutionary action. Very quickly, for example:

•a veterans' meeting endorses "peace."

• a nationality festival passes a resolution for "peace."

•a youth affair favors "peace."

• a neighborhood group comes out for "peace."

• a women's rally fights for "peace."

Whatever its composition, the group, once under communist control, is switched to the Party line. The feigned interest in legitimate demands is merely a trap.

Even holidays are used to enhance the Party's aims. For example, the Daily Worker once headlined a story "Mothers' Day to Be Marked by Peace Tables..." Postcards should be distributed on Mother's Day, the story continued, "declaring the deepest need of all American mothers to be a ban on A and H-bombs..." Hmmm ...as Yogi would say, "It's Deja Vu all over again."

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said on Sunday that he would have been aware of any FISA court-ordered surveillance of Trump Tower and the Trump surrogates within during the campaign by the Obama administration., He says he was not, implying there was none:

A former top intel official under President Obama asserted Sunday that President Trump’s phones were not tapped, contradicting a claim made by the current president. “Obviously, I can’t speak officially anymore, but I will say that for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as [Director of National Intelligence], there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time or as a candidate or against his campaign,” James Clapper said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Clapper maintained that he would’ve been told of there was a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court order to survey Trump’s phones on “something like this. ”“I can deny it,” Clapper said, asserting that an order related to Trump or Trump Tower does not exist to his “knowledge.”

Clapper may think that the Obama administration is incapable of such an act, the same Obama administration that used the IRS in a way Richard Nixon only dreamed of in targeting the Tea Party movement. Such an act would indeed make Watergate look like, well, a third-rate burglary. Clapper forgets as well how the NSA and the Obama administration spied on world leaders, starting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel:

President Barack Obama knew of the organization’s spying on German Chancellor Angela Merkel -- and approved of the efforts, a National Security Agency official has reportedly told a German newspaper.

The Economic Times writes the “high-ranking” NSA official spoke to Bild am Sonntag on the condition of anonymity, saying the president, “not only did not stop the operation, but he also ordered it to continue.”

The Economic Times also reports the official told Bild am Sonntag that Obama did not trust Merkel, wanted to know everything about her, and thus ordered the NSA to prepare a dossier on the politician.

The Obama administration spied on many world leaders and, speaking of interfering in elections, interfered in the Israeli election in an attempt to unseat Benjamin Netanyahu.

The State Department paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers grants to an Israeli group that used the money to build a campaign to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last year’s Israeli parliamentary elections, a congressional investigation concluded Tuesday.

Some $350,000 was sent to OneVoice, ostensibly to support the group’s efforts to back Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement negotiations. But OneVoice used the money to build a voter database, train activists and hire a political consulting firm with ties to President Obama’s campaign — all of which set the stage for an anti-Netanyahu campaign, the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations said in a bipartisan staff report.

Of course, the Obama administration was not above surveillance of the press and treating respected reporters as criminals. Take the case of Fox News reporter James Rosen, named by the Obama administration as a criminal co-conspirator in a case involving violations of the Espionage Act:

The Justice Department named Fox News's chief Washington correspondent James Rosen "at the very least, either as an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator" in a 2010 espionage case against State Department security adviser Stephen Jin-Woo Kim. The accusation appears in a court affidavit first reported by the Washington Post. Kim is charged with handing over a classified government report in June 2009 that said North Korea would probably test a nuclear weapon in response to a UN resolution condemning previous tests. Rosen reported the analysis on 11 June under the headline 'North Korea Intends to Match UN Resolution with New Nuclear Test'. The FBI sought and obtained a warrant to seize all of Rosen's correspondence with Kim, and an additional two days' worth of Rosen's personal email, the Post reported. The bureau also obtained Rosen's phone records and used security badge records to track his movements to and from the State Department.

The James Clapper who denies Obama administration spying on the Trump campaign is the same James Clapper who once lied to Congress, saying that the NSA wasn’t conducting surveillance of the American people. As U.S. News and World Report noted, his recent resignation didn’t assuage critics who believe James Clapper, like other Obama administration personnel, dodged a perjury bullet when he testified before Congress on the issue of NSA surveillance of American citizens:

Some lawmakers reacted to the long-expected resignation announcement from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Thursday by wishing him an eventful retirement, featuring prosecution and possible prison time.

The passage of more than three years hasn’t cooled the insistence in certain quarters that Clapper face charges for an admittedly false statement to Congress in March 2013, when he responded, “No, sir" and "not wittingly” to a question about whether the National Security Agency was collecting “any type of data at all” on millions of Americans.

About three months after making that claim, documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden revealed the answer was untruthful and that the NSA was in fact collecting in bulk domestic call records, along with various internet communications.

To his critics, Clapper lied under oath, a crime that threatens effective oversight of the executive branch. In an apology letter to lawmakers, however, Clapper said he gave the “clearly erroneous” answer because he “simply didn’t think of” the call-record collection.

Clapper later told MSNBC he considered the question akin to asking, “When did you stop beating your wife?” and so gave the “least untruthful” answer.

Critics who say president-elect Donald Trump has no right to disparage our good and faithful intelligence servants or to be skeptical of the intelligence they gather might be willing to accept “least untruthful” answers but others are not. As Investor’s Business Daily editorialized in June 2013 after Clapper’s testimony:

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper struggles to explain why he told Congress in March that the National Security Agency does not intentionally collect any kind of data on millions of Americans. "I responded in what I thought was the most truthful, or least untruthful, manner by saying 'no,'" Clapper told NBC News on Sunday.

Least untruthful? Lying to Congress and the American people is just that, except in Clapper's mind. And it seems to depend on the meaning of "collect," a reminder of President Bill Clinton's defense that charges of his lying depended on the meaning of the word "is."

The record of James Clapper and the Obama administration on truthfulness is suspect. The Obama administration has spied on world leaders, American citizens, and the press. It is said that Trump has provided no proof of Obama administration surveillance, which is hard to do in a tweet. But Breitbart’s Joel Pollak has put together an interesting timeline of the surveillance scenario, including not one, but two FISA requests with such items as:

1. June 2016: FISA request. The Obama administration files a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) to monitor communications involving Donald Trump and several advisers. The request, uncharacteristically, is denied…

4. October: FISA request. The Obama administration submits a new, narrow request to the FISA court, now focused on a computer server in Trump Tower suspected of links to Russian banks. No evidence is found -- but the wiretaps continue, ostensibly for national security reasons, Andrew McCarthy at National Review later notes. The Obama administration is now monitoring an opposing presidential campaign using the high-tech surveillance powers of the federal intelligence services….

7. January: Times report. The New York Times reports, on the eve of Inauguration Day, that several agencies -- the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Treasury Department are monitoring several associates of the Trump campaign suspected of Russian ties. Other news outlets also report the existence of “a multiagency working group to coordinate investigations across the government,” though it is unclear how they found out, since the investigations would have been secret and involved classified information.

Yes, that’s the same Brietbart Trump adviser Steve Bannon ran. But if there’s a credibility contest between Clapper, the Obama administration, and Team Trump, my money is on the latter. ~~By Daniel John Sobieski
