WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE ONLY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CAN STOP THE INSANITY AND 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.'
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the ‘man’ that told
the truth about loyal Obamaite, ex-FBI Director James Comey, has apparently
backed up his words and recommendations by appointing an apolitical new set of
eyes to review the real facts of the ‘Fake’ Media’s ‘Never Trump’ agenda.
Now we have a total of 4 investigations going on into the
'possible' collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign during the 2016
election that gave Donald Trump the American people’s mandated job of making
America great again, but now after the ‘left’s’ crying and demanding the
appointment of an outside apolitical investigator, and getting it, are
bitching again. Nancy Pelosi just came out and said that’s not good enough and
thinks an independent council is what’s required. The irrelevant left’s Adam Schiff
is also bitching because his party’s ruse and hypocritical plot has had its legs
pulled out from under their Socialist narrative, and will expose what the
left’s part is in the leaking, the false narratives, their connection to
the Russians, the murder of Wikileaks true agent Seth Rich, and the left-over
moles that Obama planted in the 17 intel agencies in his last days in office!
I get tired of the continued calling out of President Trump’s
supposed lying when he says anything related to the Truth, and then mad when the agenda
journalists turn his words around to make his statements appear to be lies! The
Clintons, Eric Holder, and Loretta Lynch have used intent and interpretation to
nullify the constitution and the rule of law, and as a result has become the status quo and accepted practice by the progressive justices that Obama appointed to the lower courts by way of the 'nuclear option. When Bill Clinton was impeached
he used the ‘what is, is, and have mastered the art of how to use grammatically
altered knit picking, and by doing so, undermining the fact that all of these
committees investigating the Collusion between the Russians and the Trump
campaign, based on this art, hasn't come up with 1 piece
of evidence proving that their allegations about the supposed collusion are true!
The left is playing that old game of ‘bait and switch,’ and
because they don’t have a positive message has decided to keep Trump's huge
successes and fulfilling his promises off the front page, and substitute them with ‘Fake’ news using
innuendos, half-truths, fake intent, fake sources, and outright lying to try
and delegitimize Trump's Presidency because the feckless leadership of the left can’t take
responsibilities for the failure of their message, or the lying, traitorous,
anti-American. but pro pant-suit, Hillary ‘the anti-deplorable’ Clinton!
What America needs is that positive ‘outsider-nonpolitician’
energy that President Trump brought to the campaign when a candidate, but stifled
and short circuited by the ‘No message’ Socialist left, and the ‘Paid to
Report’ Media ever since he got to office. We need to drain the ‘swamp’ and cut
through the ‘Red’ tape that prevents President Trump’s cabinet appointments to
be confirmed. We also need to do away with most of the outdated political
traditions and protocols that cause the wheels of the political processes to
slow, and in some cases grind to a halt.
We need these individual states, and the individual
party’s constituency, to self-mandate and implement term limits on their own
elected officials, and I think we all know why, and that’s because the Congressional ‘Swamp’ in Washington will
never self impose term limits on themselves, and that my friends, you can take to the bank!
What we Americans also need to know is that in some cases
‘good news’ can change the landscape and attitude of the ‘State of the Union,’ and
when you follow the Trump mandate of making American great again, anything can
happen to bring back what 'good news' and President Trump’s platform, which was approved by the people of America when
Trump won the 2016 election by one of the largest electoral college landslides
in modern times, of making America 'happy' again! Unbeknownst to the public President Trump has been
knocking it out of the park when it comes to his promises he made to the American people,
and getting the job done. The problem with this though is that President
Trump’s successes have been hidden behind the veil of ‘fake News,’ and the
attempt by the Socialist left to undermine Trumps rhetoric about making America
great again. On the other hand, the left only has the Socialist message of
dependency, surrendering, and allowing government to run your life, and painting what's going on under President Trump a dark reality!
What America needs to happen now is Ryan and McConnell
have to take the bull by the horns and ‘not’ slam shut the ‘Nuclear Option’
door that Harry Reid opened back when jamming Obamacare down the throats of all
Americans, and then again stacking the courts with progressive under court
justices that choose to override anything Trump, and bypass the rule of law and
Constitution!
Hillary always said that ‘words matter,’ and her words and lies is what sunk her
ship and her Socialist agenda. Words have also sabotaged
Trump’s short political career, and still does today because of his somewhat disturbing
decision to use ‘Twitter’ to get his daily message out. What Mitch McConnell
has to understand is that without the ‘Nuclear Option’ the Trump platform will
be doomed, and that’s because there won’t be a chance in Hell that anybody on
the progressive left will ever vote for anything that will bring America back
to its exceptional constitutional, and rule of law self, or the status it has
earned on the world stage from the many countries that have envied and respected America and its Constitutional Republic way of life for
generations.
I feel Ryan has turned the corner and now on board with the
Trump agenda after a rough start, but I have my doubts about Mitch McConnell and his ability to see
clear that the only way to keep President Trump and the Republican party promises is to wheel that ‘Nuclear Option’ Sword, and if McConnell can’t accept the ‘Will’ of the American people,
and do whatever it takes to maintain our constitutional republic, and defend the rule of
law, he needs to think about retiring. If McConnell can't do away with a lot of these time cherished useless protocols and procedures, and not understand that the 'left' would take
advantage of using the 'nuclear option' to eliminate the competition in a heartbeat. Ryan looks he's willing to step up to the plate, and if McConnell can't do the same he needs to step down and give that
responsibility to a strong individual who can see the light at the end of the
tunnel for the future of America, and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
America dodged a huge crippling ideological bullet when Hillary lost, and by doing
so, avoided a nightmarish Socialist future for America, and if Mitch McConnell doesn’t use
the ‘Nuclear Option’ to drive Socialism into extinction, then everything that awake
informed Americans and the Silent majority voted for backing Trump’s ‘make
America Great again platform, will all be lost! ……. food for thought if nothing else!~~
MITCH MCCONNELL VOWS 'NOT' TO USE ‘NUCLEAR OPTION’ TO PASS
BILLS IN SENATE!
A day after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell invoked
the "nuclear option" to end a Democratic filibuster and confirm Neil
Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, he sought Friday to reassure both Democrats and
Republicans that he opposes any effort to strip the minority party of its power
to block legislation from being approved.
"There is a big difference between eliminating the filibuster
for judicial nominations and doing away with it for legislation," the Kentucky
Republican said.
"The core of the Senate is the legislative
filibuster," McConnell said. "This notion that this (changing the
filibuster rule to confirm Gorsuch) somehow bleeds over into the legislative
filibuster is untrue. I'm opposed to it ... I think that's what fundamentally
changes the Senate."
Political scientists
and some senators have expressed fear that McConnell’s decision to "go
nuclear" on the Gorsuch confirmation could lead to efforts to do away with
the legislative filibuster as well. Republican senators voted Thursday to
change Senate rules so that only a simple majority of 51 senators — rather than
60 — was required to advance the judge's nomination to the Senate floor for an
up-or-down vote on Friday. Gorsuch was confirmed by a vote of 54-45.
**This is my point, and does anyone think that in today's political environment that the 'left' will work on 'making America great again, especially when they gave their constituency the option of picking one of the two Socialist options to vote for?**
The legislative filibuster gives the minority party a great
deal of power by requiring 60 votes to move most major bills forward. The
current Republican majority in the Senate holds 52 seats while Democrats hold
48. That means both parties must work together to reach consensus before they
can pass legislation on everything from how to spend taxpayer money to how to
overhaul the nation's immigration system. ~~By Erin Kelly, a Friend of America!
With all this smoke and mirrors that have been created by
the left to draw the attention away from what this outsider nonpolitician
Billionaire has done for the American people, and what the ‘Paid to Report’
Media isn’t telling us. There was a time when you were able to trust the Media
to be responsible for keeping the progress and advances front and center, and
the negative ‘fake news’ on the back pages and under the fold. President Trump promised and already
delivered on a lot of his promises, and the following is just one of them, and
within the time he was sworn in, until today.~~
TRUMP’S ICE AGENCY ARRESTED NEARLY 1,400 VIOLENT GANG
MEMBERS IN NEW SWEEP!
On the campaign trail, then-candidate Donald Trump stirred
up serious controversy when he said of illegal immigrants crossing the southern
border, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best.”
“They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and
they’re bringing those problems with us,” he continued.
Now as President, Trump and his agents at ICE are cracking
down on the bad people and cleaning up the streets – big league!
Via the Daily Caller:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement-led operation led to the
arrest of 1,378 gang members and associates, agency leaders announced Thursday.
The six-week operation was part of “Community Shield,” an
anti-gang program launched in 2005, and was led by ICE’s Homeland Security
Investigations (HSI) unit in conjunction with state and local agencies.
In addition to the arrests, officials seized $491,763 in
currency and 238 firearms.
Derek Benner, deputy associate director of ICE HSI,
described it as the “largest gang surge to date.”
Some of the criminal activity involved drug trafficking,
weapons smuggling, human smuggling, sex trafficking, murder, and racketeering.
Benner announced that 280 people – over 20% – were arrested
on immigration violations and will face deportation proceedings, while at least
three recipients of Barack Obama’s “DREAMers” were arrested in the gang sweep.
Eight of those apprehended were confirmed to belong to the
MS-13 gang, an extremely violent group that has been a focus of the President’s
in building the border wall.
MS-13 has been linked to nearly a dozen murders on Long
Island, among other crime nationwide.
“Gangs threaten the safety of our communities, not just in
major metropolitan areas but in our suburbs and rural areas, too,” announced
Acting Director of ICE Thomas Homan.
“Gang-related violence and criminal activity present an
ongoing challenge for law enforcement everywhere,” he added. “Our efforts to
dismantle gangs are much more effective in areas where partnership with local
law enforcement is strongest.”
Law enforcement can only be strongest with a strong, pro-law
and order president backing them up. ~~ By Rusty, a Friend of America!
Common sense should tell you that a 70-year-old Billionaire
doesn’t have lie, and because of this doesn’t have to be afraid of any of the
timing of his actions, especially when any other action would be the actions of a guilty man trying to hide something, and not from one who
hasn’t done anything wrong. President Trump is an outsider nonpolitician,
according to the ‘Paid to Report’ Media, doesn’t know what he’s doing, can’t
walk the walk, can’t talk the talk, and doesn’t belong in the bipartisan corrupt, with something to hide,
‘Garden Party’ swamp of elitists and snobs, who believe President Trump should be sent down on the farm with
the rest of Hillary's 'basket of deplorables,' and spend the rest of their lives letting the government decide what's best for them, and the rest of America!
President Trump speaks the language of the common American,
and with some of his cabinet appointments, have decided to use their retirement years
to give back to the country that gave them the freedoms and liberties that allowed
them to achieve their individual ‘American Dream.’ They divested their assets,
gave control of their holdings away, and by doing so, more than likely lost
money. I don’t know about the other retirees, but Trump gave up his salary, and
now gives it up to a charity of other people’s choosing.~~
IF TRUMP OBSTRUCTED JUSTICE WITH COMEY, WASN’T OBAMA
SIMILARLY GUILTY ON THE CLINTON PROBE?
Let's stipulate from the start that the New York Times story
on President Trump's alleged interaction with then-FBI Director James Comey
earlier this year raises serious concerns about undue political interference in
a criminal investigation. As I wrote last night, Congress should demand to see
the memo in question (Fox News confirmed its existence), and Comey must be
called to testify about it under oath. Both outcomes have already been set in
motion. And while they're at it, Congress should review any and all Comey memos
describing his interactions with Trump. Questions: Did the former FBI chief
keep similar records of his meetings with high-ranking members of the last
administration? Might those be of interest, too? Obvious initial questions for Comey would
include authenticating the reported memo, asking how he perceived Trump's
overtures on the Flynn probe at the time -- and, if he felt there was a genuine
attempt to obstruct the Bureau's work, why didn't he blow the whistle
immediately and resign? We don't have any of those answers yet, which is why
impeachment talk is premature, to say the least.
Former federal
prosecutor Andy McCarthy, whose work and insights are often invaluable, takes
inventory of the situation at hand and offers some worthwhile observations in a
new column. Like me, he believes that "it is not frivolous to infer that
Trump’s statement to Comey was a veiled order" (after all, Trump was an
extremely powerful boss making his wishes quite clear to a subordinate), and
that discussions about potential obstruction of justice are
"legitimate:"
In light of what I’ve previously contended (viz., that
obstruction of justice is a concept irrelevant to a counterintelligence
investigation), I must note here that concerns about obstruction of justice in
the context of the reported Trump-Comey conversation are legitimate. That is
because the conversation does not directly relate to the so-called Russia
investigation, which Comey has explained is a counterintelligence inquiry
regarding Kremlin interference in the 2016 election. Rather, Trump and Comey
were speaking about a criminal investigation of Flynn, ancillary to but
separate from the Russia investigation. We are informed that a grand jury in
Virginia is considering evidence of transactions involving Flynn, although it
is not clear that this was the case on February 14, when Trump and Comey spoke.
I've seen a number of people suggesting the FBI had
already "cleared" Flynn, so all of this is a moot issue. That's not
quite right. Investigators did review his communications with Russian officials
during the transition (lying about which eventually led to Flynn's
resignation), but "found nothing illicit," according to the
Washington Post. But as McCarthy notes, Flynn is also the subject of an active
criminal investigation regarding possible financial ties to foreign governments
and related disclosure issues. "Ancillary to, but separate," per
McCarthy's apt description. He goes on
to make two major points. First, the
context of the alleged private conversation between Trump and Comey matters a
lot, and the fact that Comey didn't immediately resign in protest may be an
indication that Trump's cajoling, while highly suspect, didn't rise to the
level of criminality:
There is good reason to believe veiled orders, while
inappropriate, are not criminal — i.e., they do not rise to the level of
prosecutable obstruction of justice. Obstruction can be a tough crime to prove.
It is necessary to establish, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the suspect acted
corruptly in impeding or influencing a criminal investigation. That means
acting with knowledge that one’s conduct was unlawful, and with a specific intent
to undermine the truth-seeking function. Context is critical, and we don’t have
it. All we know is that Trump hoped the criminal investigation would be dropped
— but again, did not order it to be dropped — and vouched for Flynn’s
character. That may have been inappropriate under the circumstances, but it was
not corrupt. Comey surely found it awkward, but he clearly did not perceive it
as obstruction. The former director is a highly experienced and meritoriously
decorated former prosecutor and investigator. He knows what obstruction of
justice is. And the Jim Comey I’ve known for 30 years would not stand for
political interference in law enforcement. If he had understood Trump’s remarks
as a directive or, worse, a threat, he would have resigned. It is not enough to
say that he did not resign. Unlike the investigation of Mrs. Clinton, the
investigation of Flynn has continued. Plus, Comey does not appear to have
indicated to his subordinates, to his Justice Department superiors, or to
Congress that he felt threatened.
I'm not sure I'd agree that it's "clear" that
Comey didn't perceive obstruction. As others have speculated, there's a
distinct possibility that Comey was trying to assess Trump's intentions over
time, possibly with an eye toward proving obstruction. Josh Barro surmises that
the president's decision to fire Comey, potentially out of retaliation, might
be the 'smoking gun' action that makes a criminal case easier to make.
Regardless, it is safe to say that the private discussion was not unto itself
sufficient proof of obstruction in Comey's mind. Helpfully, we'll learn more about his thought
process when he testifies. The second point is that if Trump's statements were
tantamount to "veiled orders," did President Obama do something
similar by telegraphing his 'analysis' (easily understood to be his preference)
of the Clinton email matter while that probe was still ongoing? Let's recall
together:
“I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” Mr.
Obama said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” He said it had been a mistake for Mrs.
Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his
conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s
national security was endangered.” Those statements angered F.B.I. agents who
have been working for months to determine whether Mrs. Clinton’s email setup
did in fact put any of the nation’s secrets at risk, according to current and
former law enforcement officials.
While agents were still reviewing evidence, Obama announced
on national television that it was his conclusion that Clinton's conduct didn't
endanger US national security (a very dubious verdict, in light of revelation
after revelation after revelation after revelation). The big boss in convinced
this is nothing --cough, cough -- he made clear. Adjust accordingly, he didn't
explicitly add. The New York Times reported that Obama's comments upset some
within the FBI, and many conservatives (including yours truly) were harshly
critical of the president's apparent meddlesome pressure. We also expressed
anger over reports that some DOJ officials were exerting pressure to
"stand down" on Clinton-related proves, and that former Attorney
General Loretta Lynch (who'd supposedly quasi-recused herself from the decision-making
process on these matters) urged Comey not to disclose his re-opened
investigation to Congress in October.
Obama and company wanted Hillary Clinton to be the next president. The former president literally broadcast his
assertion that her gross negligence wasn't that serious, and subordinates
allegedly worked behind the scenes to limit the scope of the FBI
investigation's political damage to Clinton.
Does that all add up to obstruction?
If not, why not?
I see two differences: (1) Obama was asked about Clinton's
situation in a public setting and gave an answer. Trump, by contrast, allegedly made a private,
one-on-one appeal directly to the man in charge of the Flynn probe, after
asking that the room be cleared. (2) Trump didn't get his way, and fired Comey. We don't know if those two facts were
related, but they both exist. Obama did
get his way, so there's no way of knowing how he'd have reacted if Comey had
followed the statute and evidence by recommending criminal charges against Mrs.
Clinton.
I'm not sure whether these distinctions matter in a legal sense, but they're worth mentioning either way. McCarthy's point on Obama's conduct vs. Trump's alleged conduct isn't an 'apples-to-apples' comparison; but it may not be so different as to be 'apples-to-oranges' either. The purpose of highlighting this contrast is not mindless 'whataboutism,' which I cautioned against just yesterday. It's to highlight the tricky standards when it comes to actionable proof of obstruction of justice based on controversial or questionable presidential conduct. ~~By Guy Benson, a friend of America!
