TRUMP’S HODGEPODGE POLITICAL APPOINTMENTS WORK FOR ME!

While the main stream media seems to be stalking Mr. Trump and trying to magnify every small misstep as a risk to the safety of the planet, Mr. Trump seems to be approaching his new role professionally and without a hint of retribution to the Democrats or the Republicans who opposed him. Truly, like Lincoln, he appears to be putting together somewhat of a Team of Rivals. No one could have remotely predicted either Mitt Romney or Nikki Haley as individuals from whom Mr. Trump would have sought advice or to whom Mr. Trump would offer a key position or two.

He is reaching out regardless of what was said during the campaign, gender or race. These are the qualities most people want in their President.

We all need to take a chill pill when it comes to Trump’s cabinet appointments! There are no strings attached pulling at every possible Trump political move, and when he has no obligation to follow in the past’s failed political shoes you should know and expect that he is carefully vetting everyone from wherever to make sure he covers all the angles, dots all the I’s, and crosses all the T’s it takes, to ‘Make America Great Again!’

I thought Trump coming out with his simple Thanksgiving Day message via YouTube was great and appropriate. The ‘Paid to Report’ Media deserves no perceived protocol or consideration at all, especially after the constant negative attacks during the primaries and Presidential campaign! I

think this has shown America how untrustworthy the ‘Paid to Report’ Media is when protecting our freedoms and our constitution, for the sake of the almighty dollar, and how close we came, if Hillary won, of not being the same America that our founding fathers envisioned and followed for the past 240 years. This should be a lesson for all politicians who are thinking about running for public office in the future, and when it comes to the Media, money talks, and nobody walks…...!

The American people aren’t stupid and have been politically astute for many decades! They know exactly what the Republican party has become in the last 60 years, and very few of them are friends of the Constitution, and neither are they true conservatives, but you wouldn’t know that by their actions that don’t back up their misleading words, but with Trump’s victory, which was a totally unforeseen outcome, they are all trying to do a little swallowing of their pride, and reluctantly lining up behind the Trump’s agenda and the ‘Will’ of the American people!

The establishment Republicans and media all claimed Mr. Trump isn’t conservative enough, but this is a euphemism for saying he isn’t a globalist establishment insider, and Americans who flocked to his rallies already know this, but knows he resonates with our founding father’s vision, our constitution, and the American Dream.  They know he isn’t perfect and he doesn’t know every subject, but they know he’s a good man, rough around the edges like General Patton, but always telling us the truth the way he sees it.  We rejoice in hearing this truth, and it’s thrilling after so many years of hearing the false drivel coming from the moderate left leaning Republican candidates that have sold their souls to the likes of George Soros and outside interests, to expose the reality of who they really are, and what ideology they pretend to support!

Trump is a businessman and not a politician, and to a businessman Green, the color of money, doesn't discriminate from where it comes from. Black/White, Rich/Poor, Democrat/Republican, Muslim/Christian, Male/Female, and even Egg Shell/Politically Correct, and to be successful you must have barriers up, and taking sides! They say, like Obama when he became President, that he didn’t have the depth of experience needed to be President, but 8 years later we find our domestic, economic, and foreign policies are far worse off than the first day Obama took office!

Trump is probably the overall least conservative of the bunch, but this outsider nonpolitician who is willing to take on a stagnant Congress managed to control, with the help of the ‘will’ of the American people, all of congress and become the untethered ‘go to’ guy that will make America great again! Trump gave hope to the silent majority in a time where they needed an excuse to come out of their caves for the first time since Ronald Reagan and take back America before it was too late! Trump says things that other politicians are afraid to say and people love him for it. People have grown tired of the crawling politically correct republican party, and If the Republicans had focused their attention to doing what is right for our country, and not worry about job preservation, they would not be in this situation, but due to their “do-nothing” approach they are getting exactly what they deserve, Donald J. Trump, and an invitation to leave without letting the door hit them in the ass on their way out!

The Establishment in America is comprised of a loose coalition of self-serving Democrats, Republicans, bureaucrats, corrupt politicians, members of the press, media, their sponsors, and lobbyists, donors, bankers, and “money changers” on Wall Street that have taken good care of

themselves, friends, families, and under-the-table business associates and foreign contacts, and at the expense of ordinary Americans and the economic and national security interests of the United States.

The Establishment is terrified that American voters are willing to accept the worst that Trump has to offer (and this exists) with the hope that his best will in fact make America great again. This is called a “TRADE-OFF” and Trump supporters (Americans) “don’t care” anymore what the Establishment says about Trump.

The Republican establishment is losing their minds over the fact that Donald J. Trump won the election, and with good reason. Our elected politicians on both sides of the aisle have created themselves a “Political Class”. Trump will put a big dent in how this has been built and run, and while Looking down at the two groups, there is not much difference found in how they operate.

BROADWAY’S AARON BURR: THANKSGIVING’S VERSION OF CHRISTMAS’S ‘BAH HUMBUG!’

What may be unique today is the dogmatism of diversity. We usually think of diversity as opening minds to different tastes, different traditions and different ideas, but contemporary attitudes often turn diversity into a decree. Political correctness, which has so mangled discourse in the media, in the workplace and on the college campus, is both condescending and patronizing toward others. It suggests that half of our countrymen need to be constantly tutored in the right way to think, talk and act, and the other half are to be coddled and protected rather than required to think for themselves.

We're not even talking about the irredeemable "deplorables" that Hillary Clinton made up, or the "whitelash" electorate coined by a CNN reporter looking for prejudice against a black president in campaign rhetoric. "Safe spaces" have been created on campuses across the land to assuage the feelings of young

adults who can't deal with how the numbers in the Electoral College came out differently than the numbers they preferred. Such young men and women, who once would have been looked at as future leaders, are now indulged with Legos, Play-Doh, coloring books and videos of puppies to distract them from the anxiety and fear in the real world.

The Chutzpah Award of the year, if not the Tony Award, must go to the actors of the rap musical "Hamilton" who broke through the fourth wall to explain to Vice President-elect Mike Pence how he should interpret what he had just watched and heard onstage. "We, sir, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights," actor Brandon Victor Dixon said, with the approving cast lined up behind him. (This recalls Barbara Walters' famous plea to President Jimmy Carter as she concluded an interview just after he was elected more than four decades ago -- "Please be kind to us, Mr. President.")

It's sad that the actors didn't have confidence in their work to let the magic of a wonderful Broadway show weave its spell after the finale and rather felt it necessary to undercut a dramatic and uplifting appeal with a mere protest. Pence nevertheless showed gentlemanly grace in response, praising the play.

It's particularly ironic that the actor who delivered the protest played Vice President Aaron Burr, who killed Alexander Hamilton. In the drama, as in the history books, Burr was clearly a bad man. His advice to Hamilton was sly and devious, as scripted in rhyme early in the musical: "Talk less. Smile more. Don't let them know what you're against or what you're for." Whatever angry feelings toward Burr lingered in the audience had to be overcome quickly for it to empathize with the actor who spoiled the magic with the bizarre curtain call.

That's too bad. When I saw "Hamilton," there were such good feelings from watching a talented, multiracial, multicultural cast sing and dance about the Founding Fathers that I thought it would inspire pride in how the American democracy was established. Who needs to know what the

actors think when they slip into the identities of the characters onstage? Or, as Shakespeare's Hamlet says, "The play's the thing."

Can anyone imagine Broadway actors singling out a Democrat after a show to proclaim their alarm and anxiety over an election result? That's why you dismiss the absurdity that this "diverse America" of hard-left theatre people represents anyone outside of the ZIP code in which they perform.

Then it came out that Dixon and other "Hamilton" stars haven't voted in years. So much for the alarm and anxiety they've been feeling about the country. It's yet another reason to reject the pleadings of the elites who cannot conduct even the most basic exercise in the democratic process -- voting -- and yet demand their voices be respected.

Pence knew going in that "Hamilton" has become a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" crowd-participation event for Trump-hating liberals who cheer wildly at the musical's lyrics that boast about how much immigrants can do. Pence knew going in that the "Hamilton" folks hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in July -- touted by "news" media as a "boost of Tony-winning star power" -- with ticket prices ranging from $2,700 to $100,000.

So, who was reflecting a tolerance of diverse views, and who was ranting inside a bubble?

The controversy took off when Donald Trump tweeted that Pence was "harassed" in the lecture and deserves an apology. "Hamilton" fans insisted the lecture was polite. It wasn't.

Then The New York Times lectured from a half-mile away that this protest speech represented "American principles like free speech, respect and the ability to challenge authority in the Trump era." Now that is just hilarious. Lecture or heckle Pence, and you represent free speech. Lecture or heckle President Barack Obama, and the Times insists you represent white people's rancid failure to accept a black president.

It's going to be a long four (or eight) years of the usual arrogant liberal mockery from the entertainment elite. On the American Music Awards, 21-year-old supermodel Gigi Hadid was

hailed by liberal media elites for a bad Melania Trump impression in which she repeating the tired Michelle Obama-plagiarism joke.

Liberals couldn't imagine that a large chunk of red-state America is tired of multimillionaire supermodels and Broadway starts telling them that they represent the common people. Earth to the elites: You don't represent the common people. The election was not just a dismissal of your candidate but a rejection of your condescension.

Alas, we live in contentious times, where theater and politics overlap, sometimes for better and often for worse. When Mike Pence walked into the theatre with his family, he heard boos and cheers, signaling that the audience recognized him and wanted him to hear what they thought. HOW HAPPY ARE WE THIS THANKSGIVING? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

Like a lot of friends and family I know, and even newly acquired friends I don’t know, the results of the election are still being questioned, and like a boxer coming back to consciousness after being knocked out says in defiance, “What Happened and where am I," are what American’s are still feeling, and still in that fog of disbelief and confusion!

I attended that annual ritual that goes on every year on Thanksgiving eve along with a lot of people who also observe this documented biggest bar night of the year, every year, and I’m sitting

right there next to them. Now don’t ask me how I know this, but I have attend this ritual more times than I have made it to the Thanksgiving Day’s dinner table, but with age comes knowledge, and now finally beginning to see the correlation after some 60+ years of being on this planet!

I wasn’t going to write anything and take Thanksgiving off, but since I blew off my family invitations and decided to go the TV dinner route, I figured I have a few hours before I preheat the oven. I learned a lot during my venture out last night, and between shots of ‘Honey Jack’ and chasing them down with a combination of vodka, cranberry, and a little water, I learned what was missing from this election cycle, the ‘Paid to Report’ Media, that betrayed the American people by not only lying and deceiving, but keeping the American people in the dark about what was going on behind those closed doors on Capitol Hill! Our elected bipartisan officials were undermining our founding fathers, the Constitution, and our Constitutional Republics form of Democracy to transform this exceptional America through Obama and Hillary’s unchecked vision of Socialism!

It was close, but the Silent Majority, after years of being asleep and sitting on the sidelines, came out in force for the first time since the election of Ronald Reagan, and get off their asses and come out to vote! They wanted to make sure we woke up on November 9^th in the same country we woke up on November 8th, and they succeeded in doing so!

 The truth of the matter is that there is a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, and I’m going to accept an invitation to Thanksgiving dinner that was offered to me during my Thanksgiving eve

ritual last night, so, I guess I’m going to have to iron my Trump “Make America Great Again’ T-shirt, take care of the 3 S’s and brush my teeth……

I read this about 3am this morning and thought I would share.  A little levity is always good before venturing out into that sea of long lost relatives and family members on this Thanksgiving Day, but don’t forget to bring what you drink, and when asked why you brought it use the excuse that it’s a Hostess gift, but know, like at all family functions, it’s just another B.Y.O.B. gift that keeps on giving, to you!

BE THAT OBNOXIOUS CONSERVATIVE UNCLE AT THANKSGIVING! ~~By Kurt Schlichter

Thanksgiving is a magical time when families gather together in a traditional celebration featuring gratitude, joyous fellowship, and the cruel mockery of insufferable millennial relatives. We are also seeing the rise of a new Thanksgiving tradition: tiresome, geek-scribbled columns about how to talk to your obnoxious conservative uncle at the dinner table that pop up every year on essential millennial websites like Vox, Salon, and Perpetual Barista.

But how about some guidance for those of us who eagerly embrace our inner obnoxious conservative uncle? Well, here are some helpful hints for when that smug tool spawned by your sister and her twitchy second husband opens his pie hole for something other than inserting pie.

Welcome Him to Dinner: Extend a hearty greeting, like “Good to see you! Of course, when I was

25, I spent Thanksgiving in a fighting position eating reconstituted pork patties, but your part time Chore Monkey gig is pretty much the same. Come on in!”

Be patient when he inquires whether you have anything “infused” or “curated,” and assure him that “Oh yeah, I got something locally sourced for you right here.”

Listen intently to his list of dietary restrictions, then helpfully explain that “Your vegan option is not eating.”

Explain that you won’t let him say the blessing because “I don’t want to hear an invocation to some weird goddess or any other blasphemous crap.”

Ensure that your prayer concludes “And we thank you for our police and firefighters, and for all our veterans, and for our warriors fighting evil across the globe. May you protect them and grant them total victory over our enemies.”

Don’t forget to be inclusive! “Oh, and let’s not forget the Chore Monkey guys. They’re heroes too in their own way, I guess.”

Break the Ice: Show some interest in him and his lifestyle. Politely inquire whether the Chinese character tattoo peeking out from under his doofy scarf means “Never hire me.”

Ask about his student loans, then do a calculation on your iPhone and tell him “Looks like you should have that all paid off by 2053!”

Also, make him comfortable by dropping some Millennial-friendly colloquialisms. For example,

you can explain that you understand President Trump’s empowering message to normal Americans living outside of the liberal big cities because you are “Hella woke.”

Finally, inquire into his romantic life, but don’t pry. “No date again this year? So, I’m guessing your vibe is less Tinder, more Grindr?”

Give His Views the Respect They Deserve: Normally, when he tries to speak you would look at him and say “Shhh. The men are talking” – a “man” being someone who is both over 18 and not still living on mommy’s futon in the basement.

But if you do decide to amuse yourself by letting him talk, be sure to respond to whatever he says with “Is that what they taught you in your gender studies seminar?” And if he insists that “Hey, I was an engineering major!” respond “Oh, what do you build? Safe spaces?” and start giggling.

Understand His Sensitive Feelings About the Election:

Hillary Clinton’s loss was a blow to many millennials, and he is likely to be emotionally fragile. You’ll want to ruthlessly exploit his pathetic weakness.

Always refer to “President Trump” and how he will “Make America great again.” Wear a MAGA hat to the table. Mention the “eight years of the Trump administration” and to what Justices Cruz and Willet will do to get the Supreme Court squared away again. Refer to Hillary as “Prisoner No. 59875779.”

He’ll likely react poorly, and if he becomes annoying, build a wall between you and him with mashed potatoes and demand he pay for it.

He may try to demand that you “denounce” some dipwad pseudo-Nazi geebo you’ve never heard of in a lame ploy to buy into the latest anti-conservative media narrative. Respond that you

despise all socialists – after all, “Nazi” doesn’t stand for National REPUBLICAN Worker’s Party – and ask if he’ll join you in denouncing all advocates of that hateful ideology, including Bernie Sanders. When he refuses, ask him why he loves Hitler.

If he pops off about how Hillary allegedly won the popular vote, start laughing and inquire, “Then you mean Hillary was too dumb to win an election she won?” Hoist your glass and call for a toast to the Electoral College.

Barbecue His Sacred Cows: Being a millennial, he’ll find dissent from his most cherished beliefs disturbing and upsetting, so you’ll want to do that a lot.

Agree that America has a terrible gun crisis – many Americans simply cannot afford to purchase the multiple firearms each citizen should own. Inform him that his opposition to your plan for “gun vouchers” to allow all Americans to take part in the defense of themselves, their families, communities and the Constitution, is “super racist” and that you support “caliber diversity.”

Make sure you never refer to “climate change.” It’s the “global warming scam,” and you are in favor of it “Because warming means sunshine and I like chicks being able to choose to wear bikinis. Why don’t you support womyn’s choices?” Add: “Yeah, that’s ‘womyn’ with a ‘y,’ sexist.”

Also, constantly refer to The New York Times and most everything on CNN as “fake news.”

Mention how Sean Hannity was right about Trump winning and the entire mainstream media was wrong.

Finally, assert that “All lives matter – except for cop haters, jihadis and commies. Those scumbags need a dirt nap.”

Offer Your Help and Guidance: Millennials are well-known for being modest and for seeking out and valuing the input of older, wiser people. Okay, that’s exactly the opposite of what millennials do, which will make it even more agonizing for him when you offer him your advice.

Ask: “So, have you ever thought about doing a hitch in the Marines? Worst comes to worst, at least you’ll learn to do a push-up.”

Inquire: “Maybe you should try a job where you work with your hands, and I don’t mean steaming milk at a coffee shop. I mean, like plumbing. Or construction. Or ditch digging.”

Offer: “Here, read this new book People’s Republic about what your liberal cities would be like if you millennials didn’t have us normal Americans to feed, fuel, and defend your sorry rear ends. Maybe you’ll learn something. Now pass the stuffing. And happy Thanksgiving.”

The question is whether we are a nation operating under the rule of law, or one operating under the rule of power. I regret to say that today we are not governed by the rule of law.

IT'S TIME FOR THE LIBERAL LIES TO STOP!

Liberals, stop lying about the weather. There is no climate change crisis. Whatever changes our climate is undergoing are part and parcel of the natural processes that have been going on since the Earth was formed. All the massaged, manhandled, and manufactured data in the world won’t change the simple fact that this is a naked grab for money and power by a liberal elite so concerned about carbon they choose to dump gazillions of pounds of it into the air jetting off to party with their denier denying pals.

Forty years ago we were going into an ice age, and the solution was to give more power and money to liberal elites. Ten years ago, we were a decade away from the Arctic ice cap melting and the polar bears being parboiled, and the solution was to give more power and money to liberal

elites. I don’t even want to guess what the next lie is going to be about the perpetual crisis around the corner, but I know to an absolute certainty that the solution is going to be giving more power and money to liberal elites.

Liberals, stop lying about our war with radical Muslims. This bloodshed isn’t “random.” This isn’t about “violent extremism.” Mass enslavement, mutilation and murder isn’t “workplace violence,” and these semi-human freaks aren’t going to stop if someone hands them a mop, bucket and paycheck.

We are at war – war – with radical Islam, and we need to end the lies, the equivocation and dissembling and speak the truth. Our enemies think they are Muslims, and they think the Koran commands their actions. This isn’t about theology – whether their version of Islam is a misunderstanding or misinterpretation is utterly irrelevant. They think they’re pious Muslims even if we, as well as most of the world’s Muslims, disagree.

Liberals babble about how we Americans don’t understand other cultures, but when understanding other cultures becomes inconvenient to their progressive ideology, liberals cease trying to understand and mask the inconvenient truth by applying their own prejudices and preconceptions. That’s what they’ve done to the jihadis. These guys aren’t upset about the 1% not paying them a living wage; they’re upset about the other 99% living at all.

Well, here’s a conservative who says it’s critical to understand the radical Muslims. We need to fully appreciate how they think, their goals, their ideas, their feelings. Understanding them will help us more effectively hunt down and kill them.

Liberals, stop lying about sexual assault. We need to teach liberals not to rape. Where’s the study showing the political affiliation of most incarcerated sex criminals? You know there isn’t one that finds it’s “Republican” because if there was, we’d have seen Brian Williams yapping about it between stories about how he raised the flag at Iwo Jima.

And no, there is no “rape culture.” That’s a lie liberal feminists constructed to solidify their politically-useful victim status and to indict their political opponents without the inconvenience and hassle of offering facts and evidence in support of their positions. Like the big lie that both

frigid cold and burning heat conclusively prove global warming, the existence of an all-encompassing rape culture is demonstrated both by the agreement that it exists and the denial that it exists. No wonder liberals hate due process – they can’t afford a search for the truth because the risk is too great that someone might find it.

Liberals, stop lying about illegal aliens. They aren’t all hardworking and they aren’t all here because they love America and have dreams and stuff. Some are criminals. Some are bums. None were invited. Their problems are a result of their choices. We owe them nothing. Want out of the shadows? Go home.

Liberals, stop lying about race. There’s a word for people who do as liberals do and assess an individual’s every action, opinion and idea based upon where the subject individual’s great-grandfather came from. That word is “racist.” Here’s some truth: The only mainstream ideology within the American political spectrum that is in any coherent sense racist is liberalism.

Liberals, stop lying about welfare. We all know that your place in life is the result of your good and bad choices. The poor aren’t poor because the Koch brothers went and made them drop out of high school and focus on bong hits instead of calculus.

Liberals, stop lying about taxes. People like us who contribute to society by working aren’t bad or greedy because we get mad at our money being taken to subsidize freeloaders. We’re normal.

Liberals, stop lying about Obamacare. That would mean you can never speak of it again.

Liberals, stop lying about Christians and Jews. Our country was built upon a Judeo-Christian foundation, and without it America would just be another festering boil of hideous pathologies like most this planet. There’s no secret cabal of cross and star-clinging theocrats out there just waiting to ruin the liberal’s party – America is not about to be Foot loosed even in the off chance it was to elect a Mike Huckabee. Hell, the only people interested in getting into Americans’ bedrooms are the liberal feminists who want to crawl through the window with a notary to

ensure there’s proper documentation of the horny co-ed’s consent to let her beau ‘round second base.

Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton. Lena Dunham. Jon Gruber. That woman with the glasses who thinks we should carpet bomb ISIS with want ads. All liberals. All liars.

Liberals, stop lying about everything.

SANCTUARY CITIES TRAMPLING THE RULE OF LAW!  

A cardinal feature which has distinguished the American democratic experiment from most other nations in the modern era is that we have, with several major exceptions such as the Civil War, been a society under the rule of law. The best-known expression of this principle is that the rule of law means we are “governed by laws, not men.” America, together with the relatively small number of other countries that embraced the rule of law in the recent past such as the U. K. and its Commonwealth countries, has been a beacon of light, attracting many from all over the world who seek to come to our land our land, both legally and illegally. 

In 1996, the 104th U.S. Congress passed a law known as the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA). IIRIRA requires local governments to cooperate with the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs

Enforcement (ICE) Agency. Despite this law enacted by Congress and signed by President Clinton, there are many communities that have ignored the law, refusing to co-operate with Federal agencies in the execution of this law. These communities are colloquially called “sanctuary cities.”

This blatant refusal by mayors of many big cities and other local communities to enforce the law of the land is one of the reasons that Donald Trump was elected President.  In Massachusetts, there are at least eight sanctuary cities: Amherst, Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Northampton, Orleans, and Somerville, and Springfield.

Recent polls show that more than 60% of the American people approve of Trump’s program of withholding Federal funds from sanctuary cities. Confronted with the possibility of President Trump’s administration following through on this, mayors of some of our leading cities have

stated that they intend to defy the law in their communities. Governor Baker in a recent press conference joined these politicians in saying that he will back efforts to fight the predicted federal crackdown on sanctuary cities.

How did this situation develop in which leaders of local communities choose to blatantly refuse to enforce the law? There are three reasons for this. Liberal, or as they like to be called now, progressive politicians, are generally known routinely to place power over principle (or in this case, the law). Both legal and illegal immigrants often look to the government to meet many of their needs, and accordingly they represent the natural constituency of the Democratic Party They can deliver the margin of victory at elections, and it is thus in the interest of many local politicians to curry favor with immigrants in their communities and even provide benefits such as drivers licenses to illegal aliens.

Some might say that this drive to be re-elected and continue to hold political power is a cynical view of the motives of the progressive politicians of sanctuary cities, and the real reason is compassion for the alien in our land – both legal and illegal.  They say that this is mercy triumphing over justice.  Throughout our history, America has derived its values and moral principles from its Judeo-Christian heritage. And the Old Testament does, in fact, repeatedly underline the importance of taking care of the “alien in your land.” But the New Testament is also very clear that we are to respect and obey the law. So, this principle of compassion applies to the alien who has immigrated to America legally, not to those coming to America illegally.

The third reason for the willingness of liberal elected officials to refuse to enforce the law is that they generally believe they hold the moral high ground. Most believe that they are morally superior to those who enacted these unfortunate laws, and thus it is not incumbent on them to obey or enforce the law. For example, the Department of Justice in the Obama administration

refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in the court of law. Their view was that they would not defend a law which they considered unjust. However, this represents the very definition of the rule of men, not the rule of law. This is very dangerous, and if continued, represents a breakdown of society, and if carried to an extreme, could lead to civil war or anarchy.

What is to prevent conservatives from choosing not to obey or enforce certain laws that they believe are unjust? The Ten Commandments, the foundation of our nation’s morality, is clear on the prohibition of taking innocent human life. What could be more innocent than the life of an unborn baby?  If sanctuary cities are allowed, why shouldn’t local elected officials in conservative regions refuse to allow abortion?  Why shouldn’t marriages other than traditional marriages be forbidden in conservative jurisdictions, as marriage between one man and one woman has been the moral path in Judeo-Christian societies for 2,000 years? Who has the moral high ground in these examples?

The existence of sanctuary cities in America is an outrage. It is a scandal that certain politicians and communities believe that they have every right to break any law that they feel is unjust.  It is even more disgraceful that many of these sanctuary cities are essentially protecting criminals, gang members and other illegals who are a danger to U.S. citizens.  The Trump administration should use every legal and fiscal method possible to abolish the very concept and existence of sanctuary cities. If they can continue, it will lead to the progressive breakdown of the rule of law in this country. Where that might lead could well lead to tragedy.

Now, there is no doubt that anything dealing with “immigration” will be conflated and used for political purposes. This is about immigration, yes, but in some ways, it’s also about the lawlessness that’s become the most powerful tool in left-wing governance. If this kind of nullification and arbitrary

enforcement of law becomes acceptable—as it has with the Supreme Court, for instance—what happens when conservatives begin doing the same? ~~By Robert Bradley, a Friend of America!

HOW LIBERALS CREATE AND SUSTAIN POVERTY!             

The idea Republicans and conservatives are the “rich, white, cold-hearted” politicians and Democrats are the champions of

the average Joe is less believable than rumors of the Loch Ness monster.

The “little guy,” of course, is anyone the Democrats say is being mistreated by whoever they deem to be the villain of the week: insurance companies, oil companies, business owners—maybe even an unenlightened, backwards-thinking redneck from a small town in Pennsylvania, the type who, as President Barack Obama explained to his supporters in 2008, “cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them.”

In 2004, Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry had a 22-percentage point advantage over President George W. Bush among voters with annual incomes of $30,000 or less, per exit polling

published by The New York Times. In 2008, Obama carried more than 65 percent of that group, beating Republican John McCain by a whopping 32 percentage points. In 2012, Republican Mitt Romney gained only 35 percent of the vote from this demographic.

In all three elections, the Republicans won or tied their opponents among middle-income and wealthy voters, and in nearly every case the Republican won those groups by a wide margin. Without their huge support from the lowest-income recipients, Democrats would never win the presidency again.

This is not to say all Democrats share the same ideas, goals, or concerns. Most Democrat voters truly believe the soundbites of career politicians such as Obama, but that’s only because he hasn't seen the wealth of evidence that proves income redistribution benefits no one except the tangled bureaucratic machines occupying government buildings around the world.

When individuals are empowered with job opportunities and

with the freedom to choose quality schools for their children, and when they can act without having one hand tied behind their back by government policies that make it difficult, if not nearly impossible, to leave the government-induced cycle of poverty, prosperity flourishes and self-sufficiency reigns.  ~~By Justin Haskins, a Friend of America!

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND, BUT WILL MITCH MCCONNELL, LIKE HARRY REID DID TO PASS OBAMACARE, HAVE THE BALLS TO USE THE ‘NUCLEAR OPTION’ TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?

Harry Reid tabled some 360 passed legislation from the House of Representatives that dealt with every unconstitutional Executive Orders and Presidential Memorandums that Obama blamed the ‘Do nothing Congress’ for and forcing his hand and actions to get things done! Did the ‘Paid to

Report’ Media tell you that Harry Reid’s right to hold back passed house legislation to make it appear that the ‘do nothing Congress, was doing nothing was the excuse that Obama needed to use his ‘Pen and Phone’ to bypass the Constitution and the ‘Will’ of the American people, ‘NO!’

SO HOW DID OBAMACARE BECOME A LAW?

If you recall, the Democrats in the House could pass their version of a Healthcare law. Because all revenue bills must originate in the House of Representatives, the Senate found a bill that met those qualifications: HR3590, a military housing bill. They took out essentially all the wording of it, and turned it into the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Obamacare. It gets better. The Senate at that time had 60 Democrats, just enough to pass Obamacare.

After the bill passed the Senate, the Democrat Senator Ted Kennedy died. In his place, Massachusetts elected Republican Scott Brown. That meant that, if the House made any changes

to the bill, the Senate wouldn’t have the necessary number of votes to pass the corrected bill, since they knew no Republicans would vote for Obamacare. So, they made a deal with the Democrat‐controlled House of Representatives: The House would pass the Senate bill without any changes, IF the Senate agreed to pass a separate bill by the House that made changes to the Senate version of Obamacare. This second bill was called the Reconciliation Act of 2010.

It made a bunch of detail changes, and added some things. So, the House passed PPACA, the Senate bill, as well as their Reconciliation Act. So now PPACA was ready for the President to sign, but the Senate still needed to pass the Reconciliation Act from the House. Confused yet?

Now, remember that the Senate only had 59 votes to pass the Reconciliation Act since Republican Scott Brown replaced Democrat Ted Kennedy. To pass the Reconciliation Act, therefore, the Democrats in the Senate DECIDED TO CHANGE THE RULES!

They declared that they could use the “Reconciliation Rule”—this is a different “reconciliation” than the House bill now. This rule was only used for budget item approval, so that budget items could be passed with only 51 votes in the Senate, not the usual 60. This rule was never intended to be used for legislation of the magnitude of Obamacare.

Too bad… they used it anyway. So, then both “Acts” passed both

houses of Congress and were then signed by President Obama.

EVERYTHING DONE BY DEMOCRATS WITHOUT A SINGLE REPUBLICAN VOTE IN FAVOR OF IT. TO QUOTE DEMOCRAT REP. ALCEE HASTINGS OF THE HOUSE RULES COMMITTEE DURING THE BILL PROCESS: “WE’RE MAKING UP THE RULES AS WE GO ALONG” THEY CERTAINLY COULDN’T HAVE MADE THIS LAW WITHOUT IT.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT?

I’VE BEEN ASKING MYSELF, NOW THAT THE ELECTION IS OVER, WILL MITCH MCCONNELL TAKE A PAGE OUT OF HARRY REIDS PLAYBOOK, AND USE THE NUCLEAR OPTION TO GET VOTER ID PASSED?

I don’t know about you, but when Obama got on Public TV and asked those some 13 million unvetted illegal refugees and immigrants to go out and vote during this past election cycle with no repercussions, and then claim that the ‘Electoral College’ was fixed because Hillary won the

popular vote! Now you must know it’s time to pass a comprehensive voter ID Law, and with the GOP owning the majorities in both the House and Senate, you know that using the ‘Nuclear Option,’ like Harry Reid did, maybe the last chance America will be able to determine its own future!

WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WENT WITH THE ‘ELECTORAL COLLEGE’ INSTEAD OF THE ‘POPULAR VOTE TO DECIDE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

The Electoral College was created for two reasons. The first purpose was to create a buffer between population and the selection of a President. The second as part of the structure of the government that gave extra power to the smaller states.

The first reason that the founders created the Electoral College is hard to understand today. The founding fathers were afraid of direct election to the Presidency. They feared a tyrant could manipulate public opinion and come to power.

Hamilton and the other founders believed that the electors would be able to ensure that only a qualified person becomes President. They believed that with the Electoral College no one would be able to manipulate the citizenry. It would act as check on an electorate that might be duped. Hamilton and the other founders did not trust the population to make the right choice. The founders also believed that the Electoral College had the

advantage of being a group that met only once and thus could not be manipulated over time by foreign governments or others.

The electoral college is also part of compromises made at the convention to satisfy the small states. Under the system of the Electoral College each state had the same number of electoral votes as they have representative in Congress, thus no state could have less than 3. The result of this system is that in this election the state of Wyoming cast about 210,000 votes, and thus each elector represented 70,000 votes, while in California approximately 9,700,000 votes were cast for 54 votes, thus representing 179,000 votes per electorate. Obviously, this creates an unfair advantage to voters in the small states whose votes count more than those people living in medium and large states.

One aspect of the electoral system that is not mandated in the constitution is the fact that the winner takes all the votes in the state. Therefore, it makes no difference if you win a state by 50.1% or by 80% of the vote you receive the same number of electoral votes. This can be a recipe

for one individual to win some states by large pluralities and lose others by small number of votes, and thus this is an easy scenario for one candidate winning the popular vote while another winning the electoral vote. This winner take all methods used in picking electors has been decided by the states themselves. This trend took place over the course of the 19th century.

While there are clear problems with the Electoral College and there are some advantages to it, changing it is very unlikely. It would take a constitutional amendment ratified by 3/4 of states to change the system. It is hard to imagine the smaller states agreeing. One way of modifying the system s to eliminate the winner take all part of it. The method that the states vote for the electoral college is not mandated by the constitution but is decided by the states. Two states do not use the winner take all system, Maine and Nebraska. It would be difficult but not impossible to get other states to change their systems, unfortunately the party that has the advantage in the state is unlikely to agree to a unilateral change.

ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN, AND FOR MITCH MCONNELL, AT LEAST FOR THIS ONE TIME, LUCK WAS ON HIS SIDE!

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell can do a victory lap now for his success in keeping President Barack Obama from shifting the ideological balance of the Supreme Court.

Democrats, meanwhile, must ask whether Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland, a 63-year-old moderate, was a mistake. Some progressives hoped for a younger candidate, with a more diverse background, might have better excited liberals.

It was McConnell who seized the moment after the death of Scalia last February to announce

there would be no confirmation hearings until after the election. "The next justice could fundamentally alter the direction of the Supreme Court and have a profound impact on our country," he said at the time.

There's no way of knowing if McConnell was certain a Republican would win. But it was worth a shot for the veteran senator. He held to his promise and denied Obama's pick, federal appeals court Judge Merrick Garland, a hearing or vote. And now, he has likely ensured a conservative majority on the Supreme Court for years to come.

JUDGE GARLAND AND THE LEFT’S DISDAIN FOR THE TRUTH!

By their own accounts, the liberal media lied in describing Garland as a centrist.

And the more research one does, the bigger this lie appears.

The mainstream media — that is, the liberal media — share all the views and characteristics of the left. Among these is the left’s view of truth. There are honest individuals with left-wing views, and dishonest individuals on the right. But truth is not a leftist

value. Everything the left believes in is more important than truth: social justice, economic equality, reducing carbon emissions, expanding the power of the state, battling sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, racism, and above these, destroying its conservative opposition.

The media’s coverage of President Barack Obama’s nomination of Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court should serve as one of the most blatant examples of both the left-wing orientation of the news media and their willingness to play with truth.

On March 16, the day after Garland’s nomination, every major mainstream news outlet, both print and electronic, depicted the judge as a centrist.

The first sentence of The New York Times front page read: “WASHINGTON — President Obama on Wednesday nominated Merrick B. Garland to be the nation’s 113th Supreme Court justice, choosing a centrist appellate judge.”

Similarly, the Los Angeles Times front-page headline said: “Obama’s choice of popular centrist Merrick Garland for Supreme Court puts GOP to the test.”

Another headline, seen in the Washington Post, read: “Merrick Garland’s instinct for the middle could put him in the court’s most influential spot.” That same day, the Post published a second

article mentioning how “Garland’s deep resume and centrist reputation appear to have positioned him well to earn the president’s nod.”

Two days later, the Los Angeles Times featured a news analysis on its front page, in which a reporter wrote that Garland may be “the most moderate Supreme Court nominee anyone could expect from a Democratic president.” The reporter also calls Garland “a superbly qualified judge with a cautious, centrist record.”

There is no truth to any of these reports — something easily proved by both Judge Garland’s decisions and, amazingly, by the newspapers’ reports themselves.

Take the Los Angeles Times’ front-page “news analysis,” for example. After describing the judge as a moderate and centrist, the LA Times reporter writes:

“If the late Justice Antonin Scalia, a staunch conservative, is replaced by a moderate-to-liberal Justice Garland, the court

would tip to the left on several key issues, like abortion, affirmative action, the death penalty, gun control, campaign spending, immigration and environmental protection.”

In other words, the very same author who describes Garland as a centrist believes that Garland votes left on essentially every major issue confronting the nation and the Supreme Court.

Additionally, that very same day The New York Times headlined that Garland is a centrist, it published an article on the nomination noting that “If Judge Garland is confirmed, he could tip the ideological balance to create the most liberal Supreme Court in 50 years.”

In reviewing Garland’s decisions, this Times piece placed Judge Garland to the left of Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, way to

the left of Justice Stephen Breyer and minimally to the right of Justices Sotomayor and Ginsburg.

By their own accounts, the liberal media lied in describing Garland as a centrist.

And the more research one does, the bigger this lie appears.

In a column in The Wall Street Journal, Juanita Duggan, President and CEO of the National Federation of Independent Business, wrote that Garland is so anti-small business and so pro-big labor, that “This is the first time in the NFIB’s 73-year-history that we will weigh in on a Supreme Court nominee.”

What worries the NFIB, she explains, is that “in 16 major labor decisions of Judge Garland’s that we examined, he ruled 16-0 in favor of the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board).”

Elsewhere in the Journal, the editorial board wrote that they can’t think of a single issue on which Garland would vote differently from the four liberal Justices that already sit on the bench.

Tom Goldstein wrote in the SCOTUSblog that Garland favors deferring to the decision-makers in agencies. “In a dozen close

cases in which the court divided, he sided with the agency every time.”

Another source reads that “Judge Garland would be a reliable fifth vote on these legal issues.”

Those are all the fundamental issues that divide the left from the right.

So, the entire left is lying about Judge Garland, who, for the record, seems like a truly decent man who possesses a first-class mind. They do so because getting a fifth left-wing vote and weakening the Republicans is far more important than truth.

And believe it or not, there is an even worse lesson here, namely the media’s effectiveness in saturating society with its mendacious version of reality. Unless an American makes the effort to

study the issue — and most do not — they take the news media’s version as truth. The terrible lesson, which has been affirmed time and time again since the 1960s, is that a free society can experience brainwashing as effectively as a totalitarian state.
