POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, AMERICA’S TRIBAL SOCIETY, AND THE WORDS THAT MATTER, TGIF!

Who would have ever believed that America’s generosity would turn against the one thing that has buoyed the freedoms and liberties of this great and exceptional country known as America for centuries, but still chose to riot and protest against the backbone of our Constitutional Republic, the Constitution? America was never perfect and was never meant to be, but America was the only country that made the outcasts of the world feel welcome and at home, and that’s because they 'weren’t' perfect, but in the eyes of the powerful ideologues that ruled their native countries, decided they weren't worthy enough, and therefore used as scapegoats to enforce false ties and common enemies to reinforce the bonds of misguided political and religious agendas! 

I bet you thought I was losing my focus and slightly leaning a little left here, but you would be wrong, and the reason you would be wrong is because of the those words that greeted our very own past generations of immigrants and refugees that made us who we are today:

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”

Words should matter, and these words do, but not if those words are referring to the legal and loyal citizens of America that are being prosecuted by agenda journalist and their bosses, the ‘Paid to Report’ Media to back an alt-left Socialist agenda! For the last 240 years Americans were that melting pot described, and very proud of being so, but now, because of Political Correctness and implicit bias has turned Americans against one another, and being done intentionally by the outside influences that backed the Alinskyites, and the what’s left of the once bipartisan, willingness to help make America great again, Democratic Party.

I have to believe that a majority of Americans, and obviously the ones who are never asked about how they feel by pollsters, are true believers in the Constitution and rule of law and that Trump, who is just enforcing the laws of the land that have been on the books before Alinskyite Obama took office, is what needs to be done to protect the sovereignty of America, and keep Americans safe! If you’re on the left and consider yourself a ‘traditional’ Democrat, it’s time to abandon that once proud and respected affiliation, and become an Independent where common sense and objectivity is in your control and free of the rhetoric that paints your loyalty to America beliefs to be included in that ‘new’ progressive broad brush stroke of Socialism!

THE ROT OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!

Public Universities are relying on a variety of federal, state and alumni loans to finance their rage against the machine.

In today’s academy, truth is an invention. Expecting people to show up on time is racist. Censorship is good. Silencing opposing viewpoints imperative. Violence to enforce safety is natural.

For the last 25 years, under the guise of “political correctness,” we’ve been watching the inexplicable flow into our culture. The idiotic demands of political correctness in the 1980s, ironically relying on the decency of the American people for their acquiescence, was just the prep course, an amuse bouche before the main course of creating social chaos and destruction.

It sounds dramatic, and it is, and it’s also the only way the left maintains power — brainwashing people into believing that social norms must be destroyed in order to create a more perfect society. From the ashes would emerge the great collective phoenix.

Just ask the Soviet Union, Cambodia, Cuba and Venezuela how well that works out.

Last year, we watched political correctness on campus jump with abandon into its perfected state of fascism. Within a year, we moved from weeping students demanding safe spaces to direct, organized violence to stop speakers who do not pay allegiance to the left’s status quo.

Perhaps with the ascent of Donald Trump, it was the shock of realizing the American people weren’t Venezuelan and were not inclined to commit mass suicide.

Consider some recent revelations, the natural trajectory from the crowd a generation ago that was demanding manhole covers be called “personhole covers,” and making “mailman,” “fireman,” and “policeman” all verboten. We assented, and a thousand steps later:

Reporting about Pomona College: “Black students condemn ‘truth’ as an invention of white people, want conservatives expelled.” News about Clemson University: “Public university’s ‘diversity training’: Expecting people to show up on time is racist.” A headline about the work of an ungraduated researcher at University of Wisconsin-Madison: “Teachers should allow Ebonics because English grammar is too hard for minorities to learn.”

This “activism” at the academy is not only classically fascist, it destroys the future for the young people awash in its conditioning. Imagine, after all: What business, what culture, could survive a generation that thinks expecting people to be on time is racist?

Attempting to enact Orwellian rules at college is just one pastime of students. Free Beacon comments on the direct and often violent efforts to stop non-liberal speakers from being heard:

“With Notre Dame students feeling ‘unsafe’ at the prospect of Vice President Mike Pence speaking at their commencement, the riots at Berkeley caused by the presence of professional troll Milo Yiannopoulos on campus, and the explosive protest in March against author Charles Murray at Middlebury College that resulted in the assault of a professor, the war on campuses against freedom of expression and hearing opposing views is pervasive and troubling.”

To say the least.

Last week, the University of California at Davis’ Student Senate voted to remove the American flag from Student Senate meetings. If you want it to be visible, you have to file a petition in an effort to convince others.

Todd Starnes reported one UC Davis student’s support of the action on her Facebook post: “Why do you feel that advocating for the U.S. flag that represents a history of genocide, slavery, and imperialism is more important than stuff that actually matters like I don’t know, the violence against our LGBTQ Brown and Black students, rising tuition, resources for our students without homes,” she fumed. “What a waste of time.”

The odds are quite high that the students at this public university are relying on a variety of federal, state and alumni loans to finance their rage against the machine. Perhaps some of the assistance should be reconsidered when a classic education is taking a backseat to social justice warrioring. On Monday, I appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program discussing this after the student leaders canceled a planned appearance on the program. Apparently, their college bubble was threatened.

Yet, college was supposed to be the bubble destroyer. Leaving home and all familiar, thrown into a new, challenging world. You are to be prepared for a world bigger than you, and certainly different from you.

Instead, we are infantilizing students, appeasing and placating them, condemning them to a life uncertain. Who needs time management? The ability to work and live with people unlike yourself? Why not resort to violence because you’re upset or angry or irritated?

It has been a perfect storm creating this disaster, one of which is the lowering of expectations of students in general because of the rot of political correctness. Our public schools have failed so miserably, universities now can’t hold applicants to any sort of standard.

Consider the frighteningly absurd decision by Stanford, as The Wall Street Journal reported: “Every year, Stanford asks its applicants an excellent question: ‘What matters to you, and why?’ Ziad Ahmed of Princeton, N.J., summed up his answer in three words. His essay consisted of the hashtag “#BlackLivesMatter” repeated 100 times. He got in.”

We can answer Stanford’s question quite simply: What matters to us are college degrees that still mean something; graduates who are ready to contribute to society and are ready to pursue dreams in business, life and society. What matters to us is the future. What matters is us winning this existential fight for students and a nation being abandoned by the liberals running our universities. ~~By Tammy Bruce, a Friend of America

What doesn’t help is the mixed message being sent to the future Americans that are expected to step up to the plate and keep kicking the true ideals of America and its Constitutional Republic can down the road. A lot of it is just about using a little common sense and practical reasoning, but other times it’s listening to the mouthpieces of ‘Paid to Report’ Media who disagree with our founding father’s vision, and their alternatives that take away the liberties and freedoms that the Constitution gives you. If you are smart enough to ‘get it,’ then you’re smart enough to always just: 

DO THE RIGHT THING!

As American society becomes more tribal, society also becomes increasingly unstable and unmoored from civility. Americans are expected to take up for their tribe and defend it at all costs. The unfortunate outcome is that it can lead to not doing the right thing.

There are people in the United States who really would cheer on President Trump should he go out to Fifth Avenue in New York City and murder someone publicly. They would find some excuse to blame the victim, which might include insufficient loyalty.

The truth is there are Democrats who would do the same for Barack Obama. In fact, we can see this with President Trump's travel and golf. For eight years Republicans complained about President Obama's golfing and vacations while Democrats defended him. Now, Democrats have suddenly become concerned with the cost of Presidential travel and golf playing, while Republicans no longer care. One progressive columnist declared it proof the GOP was racist. The reality is this is proof that both sides are partisan and tribal.

The New York Times made a very big deal out reports the U.S.S. Carl Vinson was actually not headed to North Korea at the time President Trump said it was. This was not the president's fault. The Pentagon had told him the ship was headed toward the Korean peninsula when it was not. But Democrats seized on this as a sign of further in competence.

Had this happened to President Obama, the New York Times editors would have celebrated his masterful poker playing and ability to bluff his way out of a tense situation with the North Koreans. Both sides have surrendered their intellectual honesty in favor of their tribes.

Democrats who have been protesting Bill O'Reilly were perfectly willing to defend President Clinton and his antics in and out of the White House. These same Democrats are horrified by President Trump being on his third wife and having several affairs. Meanwhile, some of the very same preachers who called for Bill Clinton to be impeached for his behavior are some of the most vocal defenders of President Trump's behavior, claiming it does not matter.

But it does matter. There are still objective rights and objective wrongs. Morality and values still matter. To the tribes, however, it matters less and less. More and more Americans are willing to advocate for strong moral values, so long as they can use them against the other side. They will give their own side a pass on bad behavior so long as that bad behavior is directed outside their tribe.

It has been disheartening to see supposedly good Christians defend so much bad behavior by so many bad people, arguing that everyone in the tribe must defend the behavior or let the other tribe win.

Then one allows bad behavior to continue for years, turning a blind eye or covering it up, eventually it will come out and often at the hands of your political opponents. Yes, they do score a win and yes people will think you are caving to your opponents and letting your opponent’s dictate your actions. But what is missed along the way is that you only arrived at this point because you failed to do the right thing earlier.

Republicans defending President Trump's excesses cede all the high ground when next a Democrat occupies the White House and behaves improperly. Democrats who refuse even a modicum of charity and civility toward President Trump cannot be surprised when Republicans behave as repugnantly with the next Democrat.

"But the GOP already did that to Obama," is no excuse when Republicans then say, "We only did it because of how you treated Bush." On and on the tribal arguments and playground insults go.

We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. We all do things we should not and often we regret them. But we should not let the comfort of tribalism overrule the necessity of sincere apology and common decency. Failure to be civil does not mean we should abandon all attempts at civility. Unfortunately, too many people have decided tribalism trumps civility and common decency. We will all be worse off because of it. ~~ By Erick Erickson, a Friend of America!

There is only one Tribe in this country, and that’s the Constitutional Republic Tribe, and with yesterday’s news, I think that tribe will guarantee Socialism will be kept at bay for a few generations to come, I hope, and that’s because it looks like President Trump will get another shot at filling at least one, and maybe more, Supreme Court Justice seats to the Supreme Court.

I call it fate, you can call it whatever you want, but we all should all take the time to thank Ex-Senate Majority leader, Harry Reid for extending the liberties and freedoms that our constitution grants us, and for using the ‘nuclear option’ to ‘fast track’ nominated underling lower court progressive justices for the sole purpose, as we’ve witnessed, to prevent the President of the United States from doing his constitutional duty to keep America safe and free from the threats of terrorism, that were permitted by Obama’s open borders, unvetted illegal immigrants, refugees, and the bolstered foreign threats due to Obama’s feckless foreign policies while crippling our military through Social engineering and withdrawn funds, and not allowing America to maintain its leadership status on the world stage!
