TIME TO ALLOW 'OBAMACARE' TO COLLAPSE!

By Jonathan E.P. Moore, and Friends of America!
TIME TO ALLOW 'OBAMACARE' TO COLLAPSE, AND LET AMERICA’S HEALTHCARE FALL BACK ON AMERICA’S 7-YEAR-OLD PREEXISTING CONDITION, AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR!
I don’t understand how the taxpayer has to be on the hook for the progressive lefts failed healthcare program known as Obamacare, and why, like Obama’s green agenda, which none of what Obama’s administration backed has succeeded, has a record of 0 for 300, rather 0 for $6 Trillion in taxpayer debt. Why would anyone want the government to step in to run an industry that would be better suited for the private sector? I didn’t see the left looking to help those the people who were working for those ‘green’ agenda industries that went belly up, and I don’t think it’s the Republican’s responsibility to correct the biggest mistake ever passed in American history, and then expect the Trump Administration and the Republican Party, who by the way didn’t have one member of congress vote for it, and basically bypassed for the greater good of the American people, and Obama’s socialist agenda! Why should the Trump Administration and the American taxpayer do anything for Obama’s signature legislation and legacy after Democrats washed their hands of the American people, and the American people’s healthcare needs!
I think what people are forgetting is that there is a private sector out there, you remember them, right, well you have to believe, unlike the Democrats who are sitting around and picking their noses and not volunteering their help in getting healthcare right for America, that the private sector is concocting multiple plans and solutions to the Obamacare death spiral before it’s officially dead, and waiting on the bench to be called in to do what they do best, insure the American people, which they have been doing for generations! So, I say let it fail, and let the private sector pick up the pieces and custom write the individual plans that fit what the individual consumer needs for himself and their families, and repeal all tax and fine mandates in Obamacare, let it collapse, and use the Trillion dollars that will be freed up for tax reform and be available for tax cuts, and small business incentives!
Chuck-e 'Cheesy' Schumer, after the CNN's 'Fake News' reveal, all of a sudden, wants to get together with the Republicans and hash out a fix for Obamacare! I think the reason is that  he's now forced to throw in the towel and concede that the 'left' is not going to get off the hook for the worst partisan legislation in the history of America and the American people, and now sees the writing on the wall. I say too late, and for your treasonous acts against the America people and their healthcare needs, needs to sit the F**k down and shut up. Chuck-e's Progressive left will 'NOT' get that chance to get credit for the repeal and replacement of Obamacare, but go down with the ship that he helped to defend when Obama was at the helm!
It’s time for the Republicans and President Trump to move on to tax reform, and that’s because if Obamacare collapses, which it is, then the free market and individual states will have to step in and address the individual issues that affect each individual state. There is nowhere in the Constitution where there ever was a directive that the Federal Government should and must have anything to do with healthcare or the individual mandates that Obamacare forced down the throats of America. The left keeps calling Social Security, and Medicare entitlements, but what gets me is that it is a ‘paid’ for, through donations out of individual’s paychecks for a lifetime, and not an entitlement! Medicaid is the safety net, and an entitlement for the members of society who are not as fortunate, and stuck in poverty!
When it comes from the left, it doesn’t have to be about healthcare, but anything that has to do with the government and taxpayer’s money paying for anything and everything they deem necessary, and then giving it away to the fraudulent schemes and scammers who have figured out how to work the system. It’s never about the ones in need, and that’s because there’s plenty of money for them, but more about the fraud that excuses able bodied men from working, millennials from stepping up to the plate to run their own lives, and the illegal unvetted immigrants and refugees who do nothing for America other than live off the generosity of the 'left's' vote buying schemes!
It's gotten so bad with the healthcare handouts, that people won’t go back to work in fear that they will lose their government provided healthcare benefits, especially when Obama decided to make small business employers responsible for their employers benefits when he okayed the lowering of the definition of full time employment to 30 hours compared to previous accepted 40 hours. What ever happened to personal responsibility being involved with any benefits that are being paid for by the taxpayer whose due diligence has afforded them a deserved 'step upto the benefits of the middle class, but stymied because of their obligation to the ones that don’t work, and through increased payroll taxes, and subsidizes, lives 'free of charge' off the sweat and labor of honest hard working Americans!
What’s really scary here is that the ‘left’ doesn’t only consider anyone that didn’t vote for Hillary deplorable, but considers the average American stupid and unable to control their own life, or the lives’ of the ones he or she loves and supports. When can any and every American let everyone live and let live without the interference of government’s intervention into the individual beliefs and ideals of everyone’s personal American Dream?
Have you ever noticed, when it comes to transforming America to Socialism, the whole Progressive Democratic party falls into line to ‘damn the torpedoes, and full speed ahead’ while not caring about what their constituency thinks, or cares about, while the 'right' would rather be known as the ‘kneeling and capitulating’ conservative party who got a chance for the first time in history to be part of the new ‘American First’ Party that can, and will, put America back on the world stage in a leadership role, but seem more interested in staying relevant, being spineless, and keeping their jobs more, then doing what’s right for the future of America, and the American people!
The only answer I can see to this problem is ‘mandatory’ term limits for every congressperson in both the House and Senate, and if you think they will vote for such a law on their own would be crazy to believe,  but if we, the American voter would take it upon themselves to consciously enforce that mandate automatically every 12 years, then we would have taken back our government, and the control needed to follow the mandate that our founding fathers set into motion some 240 plus years ago! Did you know that 227 members of Congress, if there was a 12-year term limit, wouldn’t be in office today, and did you know that most of the feckless leadership of the bipartisan ‘swamp’ have been there for more than 12 years?   Hmmm, ... food for thought!
AGAIN!!: The Republicans don’t need to repeal Obamacare,
but like Obama did changing the law some 40 times unconstitutionally through executive orders, and after Obamacare was already a law, is what President Trump, through executive order, should do to strip out the tax and penalty mandates using his version of the Obama’s ‘Phone and Pen,” after all, there is precedent with both the Reid and Obama ‘nuclear option,’ and Obama adding his fix all’s to the ‘Affordable Healthcare Act’ after it was already law!! It’s time to move on to tax reform and strip the tax mandates through either executive order or repeal, and use those now non-committed freed up funds to business and incentives, and applying them to tax reform to help make America's economy great again!
Aren’t you tired of the B.S. when both parties declare everything they do is for the American people, and that the American people should know, or have a right, or in the American people’s best interest, but rather see them follow the Constitution as written, enforce the rule of law, and do what we sent you to do when we elected you and sent you to Washington.
Socialism, if you didn’t know this, is about anything you get for ‘free’ from the government that makes you dependent on the government, and buys your vote, and every time you get something for free you believe and expect that those benefits will always be there! I guess that's just one less thing you have to worry about supplying your family, and their future, is more important than self-worth and self-determination, while putting your own path and future aspirations on hold.
Small increments of ‘free’ stuff is what the left have been doing for decades, and even generations. The money for the 'free' stuff comes from the tax and regulations imposed on Americas corporations and individuals that have realized the American dream, and then taxed away for the 'free' stuff instead of being used to create jobs and keeping our innovated companies and corporations here on American soil. free give-a-way government incentives lure the unsuspecting American people in to a sense of wellbeing, and contentment, but this bait and switch is all about that personal invitation and introduction to ‘free’ things, and considered the bait, while the switch is Socialism replacing our 240 plus year old ‘Constitutional Republic!’
If we could just eliminate the last 8 years, and do that because of the fraud committed by the Globalist powers to be, then America could get back to what America does best, and that’s leading, and not like Obama who choses to lead from behind while stripping our military of the things that made us the most powerful and respected country in the world, but from ahead where the world is happy to have us back in the saddle! Healthcare needs to be dealt with, but if you think that the left gives a shit, and wouldn't rather have you and your family dependent on the government for everything you need, then this outsider non-politician's 'New'  America First Political Party, then I guess this is nothing you want to be part of, and for that, I'm sorry for your misguided belief in what this country's future possibilities can be.
Charles Krauthammer got it right, and if you missed it then check out the following:
Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer dismissed the suggestion that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) inability to bring the Senate GOP health care legislation up for a vote this week and postponing it until after the Fourth of July holiday was for no other reason that people not wanting entitlements from Obamacare to go away.
Krauthammer blamed the Obamacare expansion of Medicaid and not a failure of communication or a lack of communication between the leaderships of the two chambers of Congress for McConnell’s shortcoming.
“Their problem is not — forgive me — this is not a failure of communication as in ‘Cool Hand Luke,'” he explained. “This is a failure of expectations. The country does not want to see the entitlements that were handed out by Obamacare retracted. That’s the issue. It’s not communication. It’s not the lack of coordination between the House and Senate. It’s the fact that Medicare was inflated. It was supposed to be for women and poor children and the disabled. It was inflated by Obama to include able-bodied workers up to 400 percent of the poverty line. So, this is completely out of its original intent.”
“The fight now, and the reason a lot of moderate Republicans are scared is because under this bill it goes from 400 percent down to 350 percent,” Krauthammer continued. “This is a marginal retrenchment of what makes you eligible for Medicaid. And people are used to what was. They don’t want to give it back. That’s the reason that Obamacare repeal is in trouble. The country is not where it was seven years ago. It’s the reason that the left usually wins, because when you hand out goodies since the New Deal, it is extremely hard to bring them back. That’s the core issue here.” ~~By Jeff Poor, a Friend of America!
According to the Progressive left, Obamacare’s replacement effort is that it would result in thousands of deaths.  It's a tax cut paid for with "blood money," fumes racial-hoax propagator Elizabeth Warren.  It's "evil" sneers incurable demagogue Chris Murphy.  The GOP is setting itself up to be the "death party," scolds twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.  A number of these arguments are traced back to the bill's "mean" cuts to Medicaid, a government program originally designated to serve America's poorest and most vulnerable citizens.
Medicaid was failing on the merits before Obamacare expanded it to include millions of new people, many of them able-bodied childless adults living well above the poverty line.  And thus, new strains were placed on a hugely expensive program already suffering from poor health outcomes and constraints on access to care.  Here are a few succinct expositions of the compounded unfairness of Obamacare's Medicaid expansion, via Yuval Levin and the Wall Street Journal editorial board, both of whom I quoted earlier.
Today, people newly covered by Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion (who tend to be childless adults with relatively higher incomes than the non-expansion population) are funded by the federal government on much better terms than the traditional Medicaid population (which tends to include more women with children and people with even lower incomes)...the Senate bill would gradually equalize funding for the two groups, effectively shifting Medicaid’s focus back to the most vulnerable of its beneficiaries. In states that respond to that by pulling back the expansion—and for states that have not pursued an expansion—the fact that the [GOP bill's tax credits] now [go] all the way down [to the bottom of the income scale] means the Senate bill would provide an income and age-based subsidy that would allow these lowest-income individuals to afford at least modest insurance coverage in the individual market. ~~
Obama has time and time again failed the American People for the sake of his own legacy, and the transformation of America to Socialist Saul Alinsky, and Obama and Hillary's mentor's commitment to Socialism. We are the ones that have to pick up the pieces, reverse the trend that Hillary would have continued with, and make America great again. Obama used interpretation and intent to bypass the Constitution, rule of law, and congress, and then used trickery and deception to divert taxpayer’s funds to the programs that he felt supported his agenda, so, be thankful that President Trump's first major legislation, even though the Progressive left says he hasn't passed any of his major promised legislation, is just beating Hillary and the alt-left, and saving America and the Supreme Court from the Socialist leaning progressive's agenda, and to me, that's the biggest major legislation that he will ever get passed!
OBAMACARE ROBS MEDICARE OF $716 BILLION TO FUND ITSELF!   (2012 FLASHBACK)
Last week, a new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report updated the amount of money Obamacare robs out of Medicare from $500 billion to a whopping $716 billion between 2013 and 2022.
According to the CBO, the payment cuts in Medicare include:
•A $260 billion payment cut for hospital services.
•A $39 billion payment cut for skilled nursing services.
•A $17 billion payment cut for hospice services.
•A $66 billion payment cut for home health services.
•A $33 billion payment cut for all other services.
•A $156 billion cut in payment rates in Medicare Advantage (MA); $156 billion is before considering interactions with other provisions. The House Ways and Means Committee was able to include interactions with other provisions, estimating the cuts to MA to be even higher, coming in at $308 billion.
•$56 billion in cuts for disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments. * DSH payments go to hospitals that serve a large number of low-income patients.
•$114 billion in other provisions pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP* (does not include coverage-related provisions).
*Subtract $25 billion total between DSH payments and other provisions for spending that was cut from Medicaid and CHIP.
In total, Obamacare raids Medicare by $716 billion from 2013 to 2022. Despite Medicare facing a 75-year unfunded obligation of $37 trillion, Obamacare uses the savings from the cuts to pay for other provisions in Obamacare, not to help shore up Medicare’s finances.
The impact of these cuts will be detrimental to seniors’ access to care. The Medicare trustees 2012 report concludes that these lower Medicare payment rates will cause an estimated 15 percent of hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies to operate at a loss by 2019, 25 percent to operate at a loss in 2030, and 40 percent by 2050. Operating at a loss means these facilities are likely to cut back their services to Medicare patients or close their doors, making it more difficult for seniors to access these services.
In addition, as MA deteriorates under Obamacare’s cuts, many of those who are enrolled in MA (27 percent of total Medicare beneficiaries) will lose their current health coverage and be forced back into traditional Medicare, where Medicare providers will be subject to further cuts. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services chief actuary predicted in 2010 that enrollment in MA would decrease 50 percent by 2017, when Obamacare’s cuts were estimated at only $145 billion. Now that the cuts have been increased to $156 billion (or possibly $308 billion, as the Ways and Means Committee estimates), MA enrollment will surely decrease even further.
But Obamacare’s raid of Medicare doesn’t stop with cuts; it includes a redirection of tax revenue from the Medicare payroll tax hike in Obamacare. The payroll tax funds Medicare Part A, the trust fund that is projected to become insolvent as soon as 2024. Obamacare increases the tax from 2.9 percent to 3.8 percent, which is projected to cost taxpayers $318 billion from 2013 to 2022. However, for the very first time, Obamacare does not use the tax revenue from the increased Medicare payroll tax to pay for Medicare; the money is used to fund other parts of Obamacare, much like the $716 billion in cuts are.
With a raid on Medicare of this magnitude, President Obama’s assertion that his new law is protecting seniors and Medicare is astonishing. The truth is that Obamacare does the opposite. ~~By Alyene Senger, a Friend of America!
The Journal:
The budget will never balance, and debt will continue to accumulate, if Congress can’t modernize entitlements...Liberals call block grants heartless, but ObamaCare increased Medicaid enrollment by 29% to 74.5 million Americans—one of four citizens—in a program originally meant for poor women and the disabled. Equalizing payments for these traditional beneficiaries and ObamaCare’s new able-bodied adult enrollees above the poverty line is uncaring only in liberal caricature. The real scandal is Medicaid’s poor health outcomes and a funding formula that doesn’t encourage states to prioritize the neediest Americans.
Republicans' plan would make Medicaid fiscally sustainable, and gradually revert back to a model that prioritizes help to the poorest people, who need the most help.
It's perverse that the federal government provides a more generous funding formula for Medicaid's better-off, better-situated expansion enrollees than the original, neediest population for whom Medicaid was supposedly created in the first place.  And while the GOP proposal would reform the structure of the program by offering a capped per-capita annual allowance to each state (which would foster restraint, prioritization, innovation, and creativity), the notion that it makes drastic "cuts" to the overall program is deeply misleading.  Former White House spokesman Ari Fleischer, frustrated by these word games, has been teeing off on this point.
This funding increase of tens of billions of dollars is nevertheless cast as a "cut" because it would spend less than Obamacare would.  Beyond this point, a raft of data indicates that in the aggregate (obviously, this does not apply to all individual cases), Obamacare has not saved American lives.  In fact, life expectancy has dropped for the first time in decades under the law, with particularly bad news in Obamacare Medicaid expansion states.
Public-health data from the Centers for Disease Control confirm what one might expect from a health-care reform that expanded Medicaid coverage for adults: no improvement. In fact, things have gotten worse. Age-adjusted death rates in the U.S. have consistently declined for decades, but in 2015 — unlike in 19 of the previous 20 years — they increased. For the first time since 1993, life expectancy fell. Had mortality continued to decline during ACA implementation in 2014 and 2015 at the same rate as during the 2000–13 period, 80,000 fewer Americans would have died in 2015 alone. Of course, correlation between ACA implementation and increased mortality does not prove causation. Researchers hypothesize that increases in obesity, diabetes, and substance abuse may be responsible. But thanks to the roughly half of states that refused the ACA’s Medicaid expansion, a good control group exists. Surely the states that expanded Medicaid should at least perform better in this environment of rising mortality? Nope. Mortality in 2015 rose more than 50 percent faster in the 26 states (and Washington, D.C.) that expanded Medicaid during 2014 than in the 24 states that did not.
If conservatives were inclined to traffic in the same brand of ugly, motive-impugning hysteria that many liberals have embraced on healthcare, they could throw nuance and causation arguments to the wind and simply shriek that Obamacare killed 80,000 Americans in 2015.  And that politicians who expanded Medicaid have even more blood on their heartless, cruel, murderous hands.  By the way, is there evidence that Obamacare actually has had a causal effect on increased death rates?  A look at opioid abuse and overdose-related death statistics suggests that yes, it is likely a contributing factor.

Read this entire thread, which provides in-depth data pointing to increases in insured rates (greatest in Medicaid expansion states), coinciding with a measurable, significant, commensurate uptick in drug overdose deaths.  As NBC News recently reported, insured people have easier access to pills and drugs -- a fact that some terrible people have been capitalizing on by exploiting loopholes in well-meaning government programs to "rehabilitate" drug abusers.  Looking at the information linked above, one could make a simplistic, accurate, and unfair argument that Obamacare is killing people, and that Obamacare boosters are responsible for tens of thousands of deaths.  This is how the Left is currently demonizing Republicans.  The more serious assessment would be to say that in a genuine attempt to mitigate problems X, Y and Z, Obamacare backers inadvertently opened a can of worms, leading to an explosion in problems A, B and C.  The truth is that laws require trade-offs and can generate unforeseen consequences -- and healthcare represents an uniquely large, complex policy challenge.   If only liberals would acknowledge these applicable dynamics when reviewing the GOP's Obamacare replacement proposals.
But as long as the debate over addressing Democrats' failing healthcare experiment has degenerated into "you're selfish, uncaring, blood-stained killers!" shouting, liberals should know that two can play that nasty and counter-productive game, if necessary, and under their own
standards, their hands are dripping with the blood of 80,000 innocent Obamacare victims, or whatever.  A less demagogic and entirely accurate approach would involve reminding Americans that Democrats lied to them incessantly while passing a healthcare scheme that is collapsing, harming millions, and getting worse.  And that their so-called "solutions" entail ever more government, ever more spending -- and worse! ~~By Guy Benson
I don’t know about you, but I’m so tired of hearing the same old, same old ‘Paid to Report’ Media and their agenda journalist twisting words to meet their deadline and contractional obligations. CNN took it on the chin in the last
couple of days, and they should have, but it appears that none of the other dominoes, NYT, WAPO, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS are willing to fall under the same criteria, but stick to their guns even though 73% of Americans want our elected officials to move on to doing the business that the American people sent them to Washington to do!

TRUMP DESERVES “ALL HANDS-ON DECK”

By Jonathan E.P. Moore, and Friends of America!
TRUMP DESERVES “ALL HANDS-ON DECK” TO CREATE POLICIES DESIGNED TO RESTORE THE ‘RULE OF LAW!’
The CBO (Congressional Budget Office) is beginning to look like another member of Obama’s deep state shadow government, that like the ‘Paid to Report’ Media, the past two 'in the bag' Attorney Generals of the United States, the head of the IRS, Lois Lerner, the heads of the Obama’s 17 Intelligent Agencies, meaning Brennan, Clapper, and now James Comey of the FBI, and all of the lower court progressive Justices that blocked President’s travel ban that Harry Reid and Barack Obama’s ‘Nuclear optioned’ in, and ‘out of sight’ of the scrutiny of the American people or their elected officials! I am happy to announce though that it was overturned by Scotus yesterday by a vote of 9-0, which ups the 9th circuit court of appeals feckless interpretation of the Constitution and rule of law, not being up held again by Scotus, which ups their feckless track record of being overruled by the Supreme Court to a record breaking 80+ percent! I think it’s time to play ‘musical chairs’ out there, and look to replace these Progressive unconstitutional aware Justice’s, or at least check their blood to see if they are ‘RUI,’ (Ruling Under the Influence).
The left is not only losing it, but in the process allowing the American people to see what they truly are all about, and what they wanted to do to the future of America through their agenda of the transformation of America through Socialism! How many out there remember the unconstitutionally unconfirmed Czars that Obama personally appointed that worked under his sole guidance and direction of this first black, and anti-American President in history, that should have never been President if it weren’t for the altering of Documents by Nancy Pelosi to bypass the citizenship requirement, and never allowed to have done the damage that he’s done to America, and the ‘Will’ of the American people, for the last 8 years!
Why would anybody, especially the bipartisan ‘Swamp,’ care about the first President of the United States using modern technology, and like all of today’s American people, is just using ‘Tweets’ to get their message across directly to their individual circle of friends and Public? President Trump is no different other than being America’s ‘down to earth’ outsider nonpolitician President of the United States who wants to talk directly to his public without the scrutiny, interpretation, and intent being decided by his handlers, and the ‘Paid to Report’ Media’s agenda journalists! You have to love that the daily briefings given by Press Secretary Sean Spicer are now just audio with no cameras turned on, and the ’Paid to Report’ Media is going crazy and demanding an answer why they can’t turn the cameras back on …. lol! I guess the agenda journalist’s 15 minutes of fame on camera every day is not going over well with their bosses, and the way this President’s definition of transparency, via audio only, is not satisfactory to the agenda of the “Paid to Report’ Media’s use of interpretation and intent to create ‘fake news!’ through innuendo and undisclosed sources that don’t really exist at all.
I guess the real story today is that you should be focused on the lies that the progressive left has decided to come out with together, and that’s the 'in sync' rhetoric about the number of people that will die if the Republican version of Obamacare becomes the law of the land. What’s sad here is that numbers don’t add up, and the CBO has been ratted out because of the parameters they’ve used don’t take in account the ‘Trump’ economy and the promises he’s living up to. Who are the ones that are supposedly going to die, is it the legal citizens of America, or the unvetted illegal immigrants and refugees that could give a shit about contributing to making America great again, and only being used for the vote they can cast because of the lack of a federal voter ID law?
What you’re not being told is that the CBO is not taking into account the Trillions the Stock Market has generated under the Trump Presidency, the probable rise in GDP due to President Trumps economic and job promises and commitments, and the amount of people that will be back at work and getting their healthcare insurance through their employer! I also believe with the shrinking of illegal immigrants and refugees coming across the border has to have declined some 75%, and that decline in those projected immigration numbers going down, and in some cases, leaving the great left’s ‘Free Stuff’ entitlement programs, and handouts, I'm sure is not figured in those progressive favored CBO numbers or are  even taken into account!
The real deaths that are and will be continuing to grow are coming as a result of Obamacare and its false promises. Not only has enrolment going way down, but it’s going down because of the unaffordability and huge deductibles that have caused the American people to have to decide between living, eating, and having a roof over their head, then concerned about the consequences of death and dying, after all, with term life insurance being so cheap, both parents of younger, high school, and college aged student, can still get $500,000 of term life insurance for under $50 dollars a month! So, what’s a responsible, jobless set of parents, under the Obama economic policies, supposed to do, and what does a fiscal responsible President supposed to do when Socialism has been the flavor of the last 8 years, and unbeknownst to the American people who are saddled with an Obama intentionally generated national debt of some $20 Trillion dollars? Before you let these progressive saddle this country with more debt that your children and grand children are going be strapped with, then be part of the self dependent individual who works for themselves, is fiscally responsible, and doing it for the future benefit to their families!
Number 3 on Alinsky's 8 steps to Socialism is:
3) DEBT: Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
Which will lead to number 2, which is:
2) POVERTY: Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
I can only hope that these facts, for the sake of what’s left of the old Traditional Democratic Party, and those that have just a little common sense, that they can hopefully see the writing on the wall, and start distancing themselves from the Socialist tendencies of the Progressive leadership of Pelosi, Schumer, Ellison, and Perez, with Bernie Sanders being the safety net, and the dead Global Socialist platform that has cost the party the House, Senate, White House, and over a thousand government seats around the country! Republicans, even though appearing split on the repeal and replacement of Obamacare, is just trying to get it right, and as long as they do get it right eventually, and have Obamacare as the failing backup, then according  to the progressive left, you should not be in harms way. Don't forget when Obama said, if you want your Obamacare you can keep your Obamacare, and if you want your life to be threatened through Obamacare’s nonexistent doctors, plans and coverage, you can keep your Obamacare’s nonexistent doctors, plans, and coverage!
The CBO got it wrong with Obamacare, and will get it wrong with the Republicans version no matter how good it might be, and that’s just the way things have to be, …. For now!
TWO THINGS THE CBO GOT VERY WRONG ABOUT OBAMACARE!
Washington, D.C. is buzzing on Wednesday about the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score for the American Health Care Act (AHCA), the House GOP’s plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Democrats are sure to weaponize the CBO’s projections on cost and coverage, but the CBO, despite its nonpartisanship, has been incorrect about health care projections before.
In fact, CBO made two very incorrect predictions about Obamacare, both concerning enrollment.
EXCHANGE ENROLLMENT
As CNN and many other outlets have reported this year, CBO’s 2010 and 2014 projections of Obamacare exchange enrollees was far off the mark:
When the law originally passed in 2010, it estimated 21 million would gain coverage through them in 2016. Three years later, just before the exchanges opened, the agency upped the figure to 22 million.
That didn’t happen. About 10.4 million were actually enrolled last year, according to the Department of Health & Human Services data.
The low enrollment figures have contributed to Obamacare’s problems in 2017. Thanks in part to CBO projections, insurers expected a younger and healthier balance of customers on the Obamacare exchanges. Instead, enrollment is older and sicker on average, contributing to higher costs.
MEDICAID ENROLLMENT
CBO also underestimated the number of people enrolling in Medicaid, as FactCheck.org reported in March:
CBO estimated 10 million would be added to the Medicaid rolls by 2016, even with many states refusing to expand eligibility. But that was too low. As of the first quarter of last year, 14.4 million adults had enrolled in Medicaid as a result of the Affordable Care Act’s expansion of the program, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured.
Medicaid expansion has added to both federal government costs and state governments’ costs.
But most importantly, the AHCA, as it was passed by the House of Representatives, is very unlikely to ever be signed into law. The Senate currently has two working groups – one with all Republicans and one with moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats – taking their time on crafting fixes or replacements to Obamacare.
AMERICA’S ‘TITANIC’ IS NOT ABOUT TRUMP!
As Trump’s enemies attempt a “coup d’état by due process of law,” they fail to see that a Trump-less government would still leave America with big problems of Titanic proportions.
Short-sighted hostilities against Trump miss the point, completely. Ratings-addicted media, hallucinating on knee-jerk anti-Trump bias, use all sorts of journalistic wizardry to conjure up the illusion that Trump is America’s biggest problem.  .....  He’s not!!
The deeper issues dividing us are not, and never have been, about Trump; they’re about how the main sides see the predicament of the American ship.
One side sees it as unsinkable. No matter what damage it’s suffered from social, political and economic icebergs, “We’ll get back on course,” they say; “just as we’ve always done.” They put the tectonic cultural shifts of the Obama years in the same category as Elvis’s bad influence over the teens of his day – just a hiccup in history. “People resisted change back then, too,” they say.
The other side has pored over every detail of the ship’s actual damage, and they see trouble.
They see our national finances so severely mismanaged that politicians have stopped pretending they know how to fix it. They see the rule of law becoming flimsy as politicians sworn to uphold it, openly defy it to stitch together tribes of voters from any mob screaming for “social justice”. They see the same politicians applying laws partially and harshly against critics. They see American schools and universities becoming secular madrassas that act as re-education camps for a brand of tolerance that’s intolerant to any pupil, parent, preacher or politician who disagrees. They see political racism eroding historic strides achieved against real racism. And year after year, they see no one doing anything to really fix things – so it’s becoming normal to live with holes.
Their assessment? This ship is sinking. “Anything’s possible,” they say, “but defying nature is not one of them. You fix a boat by repairing the hole, not by punching more holes in it.”
But Utopians don’t see the “Titanic” sinking – it’s too big. Since they’re blind to desperate times, desperate measures seem crazy. “Why’s Trump throwing passengers onto tiny boats in frigid waters on a pitch-black midnight? He’s nuts!”
But if the ship really is sinking, he couldn’t toss them over fast enough; sipping tea to the serenade of violinists inside an opulent Café Parisian is nuts.
I believe our ship is sinkable – and sinking.
“Crazy” Trump just might be the one person nuts enough to cut through the politics, see problems as they are, and fix things.
The Titanic tragedy provides a good metaphor for how the two sides see America’s predicament.
Shortly after the ship collided with that iceberg in 1912, no one knew at first how severe the damage was. After a closer look, the ship’s designer broke the news to a stunned captain that the damage was fatal. Titanic, four hours into her maiden voyage, was headed to the ocean floor.
The collision forced the ship’s starboard hull plates to buckle inward, opening five of its 16 watertight compartments to monstrous ocean waters. With five compartments filling up, keeping the ship afloat was scientifically impossible.
To avoid panic, the captain ordered the crew not to tell passengers.
According to survivors, that’s why passengers were so optimistic about the predicament of their ship: They had no idea it was sinking. For one thing, the descent was too gradual to cause alarm. Secondly, the crew – who didn’t have all the facts in the beginning – assured passengers that the ship was safely back on course.
With that assurance, passengers fell asleep.
“Having been told that there was no danger, and believing such to be the fact from the general conduct of the passengers … “scribbled Dr. Washington Dodge while aboard the RMS Carpathia (the ship that saved Titanic’s survivors), “I insisted that my family remain in bed and await developments.”
“Everybody was most cheerful because they never thought it was so serious,” said a female survivor in a 1957 TV interview. “I didn’t realize that there was any danger; I didn’t think it was possible that a big ship like that could sink.”
But the ship’s predicament was extremely serious. About 1,500 passengers had less than two hours to live. With no hope of saving the ship, Captain Edward Smith ordered his crew to issue vests and deploy the life boats.
Like these passengers, many Americans have fallen asleep after collisions with cataclysmic social, political and economic icebergs. Looking at the splendor above water, they don’t believe the ship is sinking. Oblivious to a flood of institutional dangers, they’re “remaining in bed and awaiting developments,” – resting in the assurances of those they’ve entrusted to navigate the ship: “We’re back on course,” they say, and they are “believing such to be the fact ….”
Like the Titanic, time-tested institutional structures are buckling under the weight of neglect and mismanagement, and waters are gushing into five majors “watertight” compartments: the Judeo-Christian ethic, the family, government, the economy, and education.
But unlike the Titanic, there’s time to save the ship.
With Trump’s election, both sides have an opportunity to make the hard decisions. America appears to be on course, but she is severely damaged after Obama’s historic attempt to “fundamentally change the United States of America.” He tried, in eight years, to reverse generations of institutional wisdom grounded in centuries of experiment in the laboratory of American history – the kind Will Durant warned against. It didn’t work.
Democracies are fragile. They were never designed to be indestructible when the very structures that keep them afloat are severely altered or damaged. Without repairs, staying afloat is naturally and scientifically impossible.
For the sake of the country Trump deserves "all hands-on deck" to create policies designed to restore the rule of law; restore the non-theocratic supremacy of the Judeo-Christian ethic; keep the fed’s regulatory tentacles from strangling enterprise; build a lethal military that our enemies fear; and generally, give the country the surgery it needs to restore our national splendor. ~~Will Alexander, a Friend of America!
